PLAVE’s Yejun to Take Break from Activities Due to Vocal Cord Nodules

Loading

PLAVE’s Yejun will be stepping back from group activities for a while to focus on his health. The news comes after Yejun was diagnosed with early-stage vocal cord nodules.

According to a statement released by PLAVE’s agency, VLAST, on March 21st, Yejun’s health condition has been a concern for some time. In February, the agency adjusted his schedule to allow for more rest. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, Yejun’s throat condition worsened, leading to the recent diagnosis.

“Above all, rest is the top priority for Yejun‘s recovery,” VLAST stated. To prioritize his health, the agency plans to minimize Yejun’s participation in PLAVE’s live broadcasts and other scheduled activities.

VLAST emphasized that the health and happiness of PLAVE’s members are their top priority. They are committed to supporting Yejun’s recovery and ask fans, known as PLLIs, for their understanding regarding the adjustments to his schedule. The statement concluded with well wishes for Yejun’s speedy recovery.

What are Vocal Cord Nodules?

Vocal cord nodules are non-cancerous growths that develop on the vocal cords due to overuse or misuse of the voice. They can cause hoarseness, vocal fatigue, and difficulty singing or speaking at high volumes. Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial for a full recovery and to prevent further damage to the vocal cords. Treatment options typically involve vocal rest, voice therapy, and medication. In some cases, surgery may be necessary.

There is no information available about Yejun’s specific whereabouts during his recovery period. However, it is likely that he will be focusing on rest and undergoing any necessary treatment as recommended by his doctor. Fans can expect updates from VLAST regarding Yejun’s condition and his eventual return to activities.

The agency’s full English statement is as follows:

Hello.
This is VLAST.

On February 17th, due to Yejun’s health condition, we adjusted the schedule to ensure as much rest time as possible.

Despite consistent care, Yejun’s throat condition worsened, and he was recently diagnosed with the early stages of vocal nodules.
Above all, rest is the top priority for Yejun’s recovery.

To dedicate himself to recovering, we plan to minimize Yejun’s PLAVE live broadcasts and other schedules for the time being.

As the health and happiness of PLAVE members are the top priority for “Forever-PLAVE,” VLAST will strive to do our best for the artist’s health.

We ask for PLLIs [PLAVE’s fans]’ understanding regarding the adjustment of Yejun’s schedule.

Thank you.
