The new action anime Petals of Reincarnation, also known as Reincarnation no Kaben, started airing on April 2, 2026 . The show comes from the studio BENTEN Film and is based on the manga by Mikihisa Konishi . The story follows Toya Senji, a high school student with no special talent, who becomes a “Returner” and gains the ability to steal the skills of historical figures .
The first season has 12 episodes in total . The anime airs every Thursday on Japanese television networks including Tokyo MX, BS NTV, AT-X, and CBC.

The story follows Toya Senji, a student who feels worthless because he has no special talent. He is always compared to his late older brother Seiya, who was very gifted. One night, a serial killer attacks Toya. He is saved by his classmate Haito Luo Buffet, a Returner who can use the talent of the famous swordsman Miyamoto Musashi.
Toya decides to become a Returner himself. He survives the dangerous process and gains a unique ability called the “Hand of the Thief.” This power lets him steal the talents of other Returners. Toya joins the Forest of the Greats, a group of Returners who use their powers for good. They fight against the Sinners, Returners who use their talents for evil.
The leader of the Sinners is Xiang Yu, the most powerful Returner in the world. He has declared war on the Forest of the Greats. Now Toya must decide if he will use his stolen powers to help others or only to make himself stronger.
