Smith officially announced Hazel Eyes on June 24, confirming that the album will arrive on August 21 through Capitol Records.
The record follows Gloria, released in 2023, and includes 12 tracks. The project was created over more than three years with longtime collaborator Simon Aldred and features contributions from Feist, Shahzad Ismaily, Rob Moose, and The TwoCity Chorus.
The lead single, “My Guy,” was released alongside the album announcement.
Speaking about the project, Smith described it as one of the most personal records they have made, saying it reflects their life over the past few years and explores themes of love, honesty, and personal growth.
Part of the album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York, a city Smith now calls home. The music blends pop with folk, country, R&B, and orchestral influences while keeping Smith’s vocals at the center of the record.
