In the world of K-pop, if there’s one thing that is difficult to avoid, it’s sasaengs (obsessive fans who invade Korean celebrities’ privacy). An online community post gained much attention as a second-generation idol revealed that he didn’t have to deal with sasaengs anymore.

Singer Junsu appeared on Jung Jae Hyung’s YouTube series and discussed how his fans worked together to respect his privacy.

“Junsu: My fans don’t even know I went on a trip. Of course, I’m not trying to make it a secret or anything.

Host: So people know what you do for official schedules 365 days a year?

Junsu: No, but my fans respect my privacy. Even if they come to the airport, they say, ‘Let’s not bother Junsu.’

Host: So they have much experience.

Junsu: Yes, that’s too. Also, because we had a hard time with sasaengs back then, the fans understand how we feel. Now they have organized a movement, so it’s become systemized among fans.”

The OP hoped that fans would understand how he feels and continue to protect his privacy.
