SEVENTEEN‘s concert in Goyang, South Korea, faced an unexpected disruption when a fire broke out on stage during their performance. The incident occurred on a stage lined with numerous light fixtures, and quick actions from the staff ensured that the situation didn’t spiral into a more serious hazard.

Fire Breaks Out on Stage

During the performance, a small fire appeared on the upper portion of the stage where the light fixtures were located. PLEDIS Entertainment’s staff immediately took notice of the situation and swiftly instructed the SEVENTEEN members to leave the stage for safety. Fans in attendance, also known as CARATs, captured the moment on video as smoke began to fill the venue. Despite the fire being relatively small, it produced enough smoke to affect some of the fans seated near the stage.

In the videos circulating online, several CARATs can be seen attempting to blow the smoke away using their SEVENTEEN merchandise. While the fire didn’t seem overwhelming, the fear of it growing was very real due to its location on top of the massive stage setup.

Staff’s Quick Response

The concert came to a halt for about 20 minutes as the staff worked hard to control the situation. The fire’s position, high above the stage among the light fixtures, made it tricky to access. However, one staff member climbed up onto the railings, managing to reach the spot and extinguish the flames before they had a chance to escalate.

Once the fire was put out, the fans in the venue cheered and applauded the staff member for their quick and effective response. Thanks to their efforts, the situation was safely handled, and no further issues arose.

Concert Resumes After Safety Measures

Following the fire’s containment, SEVENTEEN returned to the stage and addressed the situation with lighthearted jokes, making sure fans felt at ease. The group’s positive attitude helped lift the mood, and the concert continued smoothly without any further interruptions. The fans and the members were all relieved, and the night concluded without any injuries or additional incidents.

Fortunately, thanks to the fast actions of the staff, what could have been a dangerous situation was avoided, and both SEVENTEEN and CARATs were able to enjoy the rest of the concert safely.
