SEVENTEEN member Jun’s recent experience at Incheon Airport has sparked outrage among fans, who are criticizing his agency, Pledis Entertainment, for “neglecting” his safety.

The incident highlights the ongoing debate surrounding idol safety at airports. Despite repeated warnings from agencies, fans often gather in large crowds to see idols off for international flights, creating potentially dangerous situations.

On February 26th, Jun arrived at Incheon Airport to travel to China. Upon entering the main terminal, where fans were present, large crowds quickly formed around him. However, what caused significant concern was the lack of security personnel accompanying Jun, besides his manager.

As Jun proceeded towards his boarding gate, fans began pushing, raising fears for his safety in the absence of anyone to control the crowd or prevent potential falls. Although no incidents occurred, the situation deeply worried fans watching the departure.

Despite the lack of security and crowd pressure, Jun displayed remarkable composure, managing the situation with the help of his manager while still greeting fans and media. He even showed concern when a fan fell nearby.

While idols have travelled alone in the past, fans expressed confusion as several SEVENTEEN members have had recent international schedules and were always accompanied by security. This inconsistency has raised concerns among fans, who are angry that Jun appears to be left without proper security, particularly for trips to China.

Fans have taken to social media to voice their frustrations, urging Pledis Entertainment to prioritize Jun’s safety and provide adequate security for all SEVENTEEN members during their travels.
