The new season of Euphoria is here, but instead of celebrating its return, people are furious. A promo clip showing Sydney Sweeney dressed in a baby outfit with a pacifier has caused a major online firestorm. Popular streamer Sneako has now added his voice to the outrage, making a very serious claim that the show is trying to make extreme content feel normal.

The controversial influencer did not hold back his thoughts. He shared a strong reaction to the footage, directly linking the scene to broader cultural fears about the entertainment industry.

“They’re trying to normalize the Epstein Island. They want to make us comfortable with this stuff.” – Sneako

The Scene That Caused the Uproar

The controversy comes from a teaser for Euphoria Season 3. In the clip, Sydney Sweeney’s character, Cassie, is seen filming content for an OnlyFans-style storyline. The specific shot that upset viewers shows Cassie wearing white underwear that looks like a diaper, a pink top, pigtails, and actively sucking on a pink pacifier.

This imagery arrives after a long production delay. Season 3 premiered on HBO on April 12, 2026. The new season features a time jump, moving the characters out of high school and into their early twenties. Cassie is now a stay-at-home fiancée to Nate Jacobs (played by Jacob Elordi), and her turn to online adult content creation is a major part of her story this season.

Fan Reactions and Accusations of ‘Sick’ Content

Viewers did not stay quiet about the teaser. Across social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Tumblr, the response has been aggressively negative. Many fans are saying the show has finally crossed a line that cannot be ignored.

Some comments from viewers include:

“What in the sick f**k.”

“Sexualizing something that belongs to a baby is disgusting.”

“This alone just made me not wanna watch it anymore.”

A lot of the anger focuses on the timing of the scene. Several upset viewers brought up the release of the Epstein files, arguing that Hollywood is trying to make “pedophilic content” seem normal in mainstream media.

One social media user wrote, “extremely unsettling that pedophilic content like this is being normalized on a mainstream show like Euphoria. we need to remember that Hollywood is pushing this content in a world that’s still horrified by the files.”

Creator Sam Levinson Defends the Creative Direction

Facing this backlash, show creator Sam Levinson has spoken up about why the scene looks the way it does. He explained that the goal was to show the “absurdity” of Cassie’s fantasy world.

Levinson described the technical choices used to film the sequence. He noted that the crew used ring lights to create a “beautiful, glowing” look for the fantasy clips, but would then pull the camera back to show the dark, “gnarly and jarring” reality of the room she is actually in. He wanted to visually break the wall between Cassie’s illusion and the sad reality.

Sydney Sweeney also defended her character’s actions in interviews leading up to the premiere. She explained that Cassie is in a desperate place.

“Cassie is a crazy character,” Sweeney said. “She will do anything and at all costs to be famous this season. She makes a lot of wild, interesting choices.”

The Context Behind the Euphoria Season 3 Backlash

This is not the first time Euphoria has faced harsh criticism. The show has always been known for pushing limits with nudity and dark themes. Back in Season 2, Sydney Sweeney actually asked Sam Levinson to remove some nude scenes she felt were unnecessary.

However, the reaction to Season 3 feels different because of the specific theme of the content. The use of baby imagery combined with sexual activity has triggered a much stronger reaction than usual. People are not just saying the show is too graphic; they are accusing it of promoting dangerous ideas.

Euphoria Season 3 is currently airing on HBO and streaming on Max. New episodes release every Sunday. The show also stars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, and Alexa Demie.
