What Happened in Episode 1: A Quick Story Recap
Yoon Bom is a teacher haunted by a recurring dream where she is slapped by a woman in a classroom. This dream connects to a difficult past that caused her to leave Seoul and her old life behind. She now teaches ethics in Sinsu, dressing in dark colors and avoiding social contact, which makes her the subject of gossip among other teachers.
The school staff is frightened when Seon Jae-gyu arrives. A large man with a prominent dragon tattoo, he is there to question why his nephew, Seon Han-gyeol, was denied a school award despite excellent grades. The school claimed the boy had no parents, but Jae-gyu, as his guardian, demands respect.
Bom hears exaggerated stories from colleagues painting Jae-gyu as a violent gangster, but her own observations begin to contradict this. One evening, she discovers his intimidating tattoo is actually a temporary gift from a gas station worker. By the end of the episode, during parent-teacher meetings, Bom is the only teacher willing to speak with Han-gyeol’s guardian, setting the stage for more direct interaction.
What to Expect in Spring Fever Episode 2
The second episode will likely focus on the developing dynamic between Bom and Jae-gyu. Previews suggest their interactions will mix comedy with more meaningful moments.
Jae-gyu appears to be fascinated by Bom, while she remains somewhat intimidated and anxious around him. Scenes from previews show Jae-gyu performing surprising acts, like lifting a bench with Bom sitting on it, and rushing to catch her when she is about to fall.
A subplot introduced in the first episode involves a lawyer from Seoul, Choi Yi-joon, who is suing Jae-gyu. This storyline hints at Jae-gyu’s past and suggests a deeper, potentially shared history between him and Bom that has yet to be revealed.
