South Korean heartthrob Song Kang is gearing up for a new chapter in his life, as he will be enlisting in the military on April 2nd, 2024. The news was officially announced by his agency, Namoo Actors, on February 29th.

In a statement, the agency expressed gratitude to Song Kang’s fans for their unwavering support and revealed plans to ensure a smooth and safe enlistment process. “We plan to enter the hospital privately to prevent safety accidents due to on-site congestion,” they stated.

Furthermore, Namoo Actors requested continued love and support from fans as Song Kang fulfills his mandatory military service. They expressed hope for his safe return, stating, “We ask for the warm love and support of many people so that he can faithfully perform his defense duties and return in a more mature and healthy state.”

His journey to stardom began in 2017 with his debut in the tvN drama “She Loves Lies.” He quickly captured the hearts of audiences worldwide with his captivating performances in popular Netflix series like “Love Alarm” and “Sweet Home.”

His talent and charm continued to shine through in various dramas, including “Nevertheless,” “Forecasting Love and Weather,” and most recently, “My Demon.”

While fans will temporarily bid farewell to Song Kang on the screen, they can look forward to his return in the upcoming season of “Sweet Home.” Season 3 is already complete and slated for release sometime this summer.
