The wildest romantic comedy in anime is coming back for another round. The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 has locked in its premiere date, and the Rentaro Family is about to get a whole lot bigger. July 5, 2026, marks the return of the series that keeps pushing the limits of what a harem comedy can do.

The show follows Rentaro Aijo, a high school boy who got rejected 100 times in middle school. After praying at a shrine, the God of Love shows up with some news. Rentaro is destined to meet 100 soulmates. The catch is serious. If he doesn’t make every single one of them happy, they will all die in accidents. No pressure.

The second season ended in March 2025. Now the third season is ready to deliver another batch of absurd situations, over-the-top reactions, and surprisingly genuine moments. Bibury Animation Studios returns to handle the animation, with Hikaru Sato back as director.

New Girlfriends Join the Ever-Growing Rentaro Family

Three new faces are joining the chaos. Each one brings a completely different energy to the group.

Yamame Yasashiki is the first new addition. She is a gentle and kind member of the gardening club. Her calm personality might balance out some of the more intense members of the Rentaro Family. But with this show, nothing stays calm for long.

Momiji Momi is a quirky middle school student with a very unusual habit. She is fascinated by touching things. It is an odd trait that will likely create some of the season’s funniest and most awkward moments.

Kishika Torotoro is the confident president of the girls’ kendo club. Her strong leadership and disciplined nature could shake up the existing group dynamics. She is also a third-year junior high student.

The official key visual released on April 30 shows all 17 girlfriends together. The image gives fans a look at how the new characters fit into the crowded family.

Complete Voice Cast Details for Season 3

The voice cast for the new characters has been confirmed through official announcements. Kaori Ishihara will voice Chiyo Iin, one of the new heroines. Ayana Taketatsu will voice Nadi.

Ishihara shared her excitement about joining the series. “I’m so happy to be taking on the role of Iin Chiyo. I was both thrilled to be a part of it and honestly a little worried about whether I could pull off the same energy. But once the voice recording started, it was just fun, fun, fun. I’ve become addicted to 100 Girlfriends,” she said.

Taketatsu also expressed her enthusiasm about playing Nadi. “Nadie speaks in broken, mysterious English and wears American clothes, but she is actually a Japanese language teacher. Her appearance and way of speaking reflect Nadie’s way of life. When I first went to the recording studio, I was almost overwhelmed by the energy and tension of the other girls and Rentaro, but there was laughter and excitement every time,” Taketatsu explained.

The returning main cast includes Wataru Kato as Rentaro Aijo. The rest of the Rentaro Family voices are also coming back. Kaede Hondo plays Hakari Hanazono, Miyu Tomita plays Karane Inda, Maria Naganawa plays Shizuka Yoshimoto, and Asami Seto plays Nano Eiai.

What Makes This Series Different From Other Romance Anime

The show holds a unique spot in the anime world. It has a Guinness World Record for having the most girlfriends in a harem anime. No other series has attempted to take that title.

The manga by Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa started in Weekly Young Jump in December 2019. It has collected 23 volumes so far. The story continues to add new characters while keeping the existing ones actively involved.

What sets this series apart is its commitment to the premise. Rentaro actually tries to give every girlfriend equal attention. The show does not forget about older characters when new ones show up. Each girlfriend has her own personality, quirks, and relationship with Rentaro.

The first season aired from October to December 2023. The second season ran from January to March 2025. Now the third season continues the story with the same team behind it.

The series composition is handled by Takashi Aoshima, with Akane Yano on character designs. The production team has stayed consistent across all three seasons.
