What Happened in Episode 7
Episode 7 of The Elusive Samurai season 2 aired on August 28, 2026. The episode focused on the growing conflict in Shinano.
Kiyohara returned to Shinano after fleeing to Kyo following the previous battle. He became more ruthless and teamed up with Sadamune to destroy the pro-Hojo factions in Shinano.
Suwa Yorishige, the priest who guides Tokiyuki, gathered his retainers Nezu and Mochizuki to fight back. The episode showed the preparation for the coming battle.
Yorishige faced an unexpected problem. He lost his prophetic gifts, which created tension among the group. Without his ability to see the future, the team had to rely on their own skills and strategy.
The episode also explored the relationship between Tokiyuki and his allies. Yorishige introduced Tokiyuki to his three most trusted generals. They planned a three-pronged campaign against Kiyohara, Sadamune, and Sukefusa.
Episode 7 ended with Shokan rallying his troops for the upcoming conflict. The stage was set for a major battle in the next episode.
What to Expect in Episode 8
Episode 8 will continue the battle arc that began in the previous episode. The title of the episode is “かけがえがないもの” which translates to “Irreplaceable Things”.
The preview images for episode 8 were released on September 3, 2026. The episode will show the battle between Tokiyuki’s group and Shokan’s forces.
Tokiyuki will likely use his unique fighting style in the battle. His skill is not about fighting head-on but about reading situations and surviving. This approach makes him different from typical samurai protagonists.
The episode will also focus on the bond between Tokiyuki and his allies. The title “Irreplaceable Things” suggests themes of friendship, loyalty, and what the characters value most.
Fubuki, the young boy who joined Tokiyuki’s group, will play a key role in the battle. The episode will show how the team works together to overcome their enemies.
