A new isekai anime is getting ready to serve up a different kind of adventure. The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World will mix fantasy, cooking, and camping in a unique way when it arrives on television in July 2026. The production team just dropped the first teaser trailer and announced additional staff working on the show.

The story follows a working woman who gets called to another world but gets thrown away because people think her skills are useless. Instead of fighting monsters or saving kingdoms, she uses her love for camping and outdoor cooking to travel across the fantasy land in a motorhome. This food-focused road trip anime offers something different from typical action-heavy isekai shows.

Studio EMT Squared Leads the Animation Production

The animation studio EMT Squared is producing the series. This studio has worked on shows like Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear and Rainy Cocoa. Atsushi Nigorikawa is directing the anime. He previously directed A Journey Through Another World and Once Upon a Witchs Death.

Takashi Aoshima is handling the series composition and scripts. He has worked on shows like The Demon Kings Daughter is Too Kind and Kakushigoto. Izumi Ishii is designing the characters for the anime version, while original novel illustrator Akane Nitou gets credit for the original character designs.

The sound team includes Hiroto Morishita as sound director working at Bit Groove Promotion. Kana Utatane is composing the music, and Lantis handles music production. Ankichi Kobo provides production assistance.

Main Voice Cast Announced for the Anime

The Japanese voice cast features two main actors in lead roles.

Sora Tokui voices Rin Takanashi, the main character. Tokui is known for playing Nao in Banished from the Heros Party. Yuki Ono voices Vil, a character Rin meets during her travels. Ono has voiced roles in Headhunted to Another World.

The teaser trailer gives viewers a first look at both characters and the shows animation quality. Fans have noted that the production quality looks strong even at this early stage.

Story of a Rejected Saintess Who Loves Camping

The anime adapts a light novel series written by Yoneori. The story first appeared as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2019. Kadokawa began publishing the light novel version in 2020 with illustrations by Akane Nitou. Six volumes of the light novel have been released so far.

A manga adaptation by Nana Kogami started in 2020 and has four volumes available. The series has sold more than 600,000 copies across both formats.

The plot follows Rin Takanashi, a woman in her thirties who enjoys solo camping, fishing, and tabletop RPGs. She gets summoned to another world alongside a beautiful high school girl to serve as a saintess. But the prince decides Rins skills are worthless and kicks her out immediately.

Her skills include [Survival] and the ability to summon a [Camping Vehicle or Motorhome]. These so-called useless powers actually work perfectly in the new world. Rin decides to follow her passion for the outdoors and sets off on a food journey across the fantasy land in her summoned motorhome. She meets new friends along the way and discovers that her camping skills are anything but worthless.

A Relaxing Take on the Isekai Genre

This anime belongs to a growing category of cooking and slice-of-life fantasy shows. Similar shows like Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill and Delicious in Dungeon have found success by focusing on food rather than fighting. The teaser trailer shows a good mix of cooking scenes, slice-of-life moments, and fantasy elements.

The original light novel series has been running since April 2020 in Japan. Fans have been waiting for this adaptation since the anime was first announced in March 2026. The quick release of promotional material and the teaser trailer has built excitement among viewers who enjoy slower-paced isekai stories.

The show will premiere during the Summer 2026 anime season. Specific streaming platforms for international audiences have not been announced yet. Viewers in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, India, and other regions will likely get access through major anime streaming services when the release date gets closer.
