Episode 1 Story Overview

Episode 1 is titled “Isekai Trout Fishing! Plus an Oni” (Isekai Forelle angeln! – Mit einem Dämon). The story begins with Rin Takanashi, a caregiver in her late twenties who loves camping and tabletop role-playing games. She gets summoned to another world as a saint alongside a beautiful high school girl. The prince labels her “Motor House” (camper van) and “Survival” skills as garbage and throws her out.

Rin does not let this stop her. She decides to enjoy her hobbies of solo camping and cooking in this new world. Using her skills, she summons her dream camper van, which she calls Mo-chan. While fishing in a lake, she sees an ogre floating down a river. This meeting with a resident of another world leads to a meal. Rin’s journey of cooking and exploring the fantasy world begins.

“After being summoned to another world, I was easily banished. Well, putting that aside, it’s time for camping even in another world! As I was casting my fishing line into the lake in that spirit, an ogre came floating down a nearby river, tumbling over and over… Wait, shouldn’t that be a peach?! In any case, now that I’ve achieved a momentous close encounter with an inhabitant of another world, there’s only one thing to do! Yes, it’s mealtime!”

What Makes This Series Different

The Forsaken Saintess and her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World stands out from other isekai anime because of its focus on food and camping. The main character does not seek revenge or try to prove her worth to the kingdom that rejected her. She simply wants to enjoy her hobbies in a new world. The series promises a relaxing and tasty journey with a cast of companions along the way. The combination of gourmet cooking and slow-life adventure has made it one of the summer’s most talked-about new shows.

“We’re thrilled to present The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip in Another World — one of this summer’s most highly anticipated new shows — on HIDIVE as part of its slate of exclusive simulcast series premiering in July,” said John Ledford, President of HIDIVE. “Gourmet and slow-life isekai are two of the hottest genres in anime right now, and The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip in Another World combines both!”
