The summer 2026 anime season brings a fresh isekai story that mixes cooking, camping, and adventure. The Forsaken Saintess and her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World is set to premiere on July 6, 2026. The series comes from the light novels written by Yoneori and illustrated by Akane Nitou. HIDIVE has picked up the show for streaming in English-speaking regions. Episode 1 Story Overview
Episode 1 is titled โIsekai Trout Fishing! Plus an Oniโ (Isekai Forelle angeln! โ Mit einem Dรคmon). The story begins with Rin Takanashi, a caregiver in her late twenties who loves camping and tabletop role-playing games. She gets summoned to another world as a saint alongside a beautiful high school girl. The prince labels her “Motor House” (camper van) and “Survival” skills as garbage and throws her out.
Rin does not let this stop her. She decides to enjoy her hobbies of solo camping and cooking in this new world. Using her skills, she summons her dream camper van, which she calls Mo-chan. While fishing in a lake, she sees an ogre floating down a river. This meeting with a resident of another world leads to a meal. Rin’s journey of cooking and exploring the fantasy world begins.
โAfter being summoned to another world, I was easily banished. Well, putting that aside, it’s time for camping even in another world! As I was casting my fishing line into the lake in that spirit, an ogre came floating down a nearby river, tumbling over and overโฆ Wait, shouldn’t that be a peach?! The opening theme song is โButterflyโ by the group INUWASI. The ending theme song is โHoly Sweet Homeโ by Onkan Lemonade (also written as Onkan Remoneido).
A web radio channel called โSuterare Seijo no Isekai Gohan Tabi (ry) Radioโ will start on July 12, 2026 on the YouTube channel Happinet [Anime Official]. Sora Tokui, who voices Rin, will host the show alongside guests.
About the Original Light Novel Series
The light novel series began on the Japanese publishing platform Shลsetsuka ni Narล from June 2019 to February 2021. Kadokawa published the series in print starting in 2020 with artwork by Akane Nitou. There are six volumes of the light novel so far. A manga adaptation by Nanan Kogami started in 2020 and has four volumes. The light novel series has reached a total circulation of over 600,000 copies.
Anime Expo 2026 Premiere
HIDIVE will host a special premiere event for The Forsaken Saintess and her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles. The screening is scheduled for July 4, 2026 at 4:45 PM to 5:35 PM at the West Hall Level 2. Attendees will get an early look at the series before its official television debut.
