The series is directed by Moko-chan, who was previously involved in Dan Da Dan and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. Series composition and scripts are handled by Akutagawa Prize-winning SF author Toh EnJoe. Character designs and overall animation direction are by Shuhei Handa.

The Japanese voice cast includes Maaya Sakamoto as Motoko Kusanagi, Hiroki Yasumoto as Batou, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Daisuke Aramaki, Yuichi Nakamura as Togusa, and Kosuke Goto as Ishikawa.
