The latest episode of The Masked Singer delivered its most surprising moment in the show’s history. On Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Night, which aired on January 28, 2026, contestant Queen Corgi chose to leave the competition before the audience vote results were even revealed. This self-elimination marked the first time a contestant has ever taken this action at this stage of the competition. The episode was a celebration of 40 years of the iconic turtle franchise and featured the debut of the second wildcard of the season, 14 Karat Carrot.
The five performers for the night included Cat Witch, Stingray, Galaxy Girl, Queen Corgi, and the new wildcard, 14 Karat Carrot. The theme was highlighted by cameo appearances from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themselves and a special opening performance of the classic 1987 cartoon theme song by judge Ken Jeong.

After all performances were complete, host Nick Cannon prepared to announce which contestant had received the fewest votes from the audience. Before he could do so, Queen Corgi interrupted. The regal, furry contestant announced she was “bowing out” of the competition by choice.
“I just feel my time has come,” Queen Corgi explained on stage. “I’ve learned so much about myself, but my time is up. And there’s so many amazing contestants and I want them to have the best experience, so I am bowing out.”
Host Nick Cannon reacted with surprise, telling viewers, “This has never happened before at this stage.” Judge Robin Thicke asked if the panel could still offer their final guesses for her identity, but Cannon indicated she was ready to leave. Queen Corgi then removed her own mask, revealing herself to be comedian and popular podcaster Claudia Oshry.
The Unmasking of Claudia Oshry
Claudia Oshry is best known as the host of the pop culture podcast “The Toast” and for her Instagram account Girl With No Job. Upon unmasking, she joked to the judges that it “wasn’t fair” to the other contestants for her to keep singing because she was so talented. She then gave a more personal reason for her decision.
Oshry stated she had a baby four months prior and wanted to be with him. She told the panel, “My dream is to be a pop star, I got to live out my dreamโฆ box checked.” The judges had not correctly guessed her identity. Throughout the season, their guesses for Queen Corgi included other comedians like Amy Schumer, Ali Wong, Whitney Cummings, Maya Rudolph, and Aidy Bryant.
A Look at the Night’s Other Performances
The episode featured several song performances tied to the youthful theme of the night. Cat Witch performed “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry. Cat Witch’s identity is already known to the audience this season, as she was revealed to be Kylie Cantrall, who is serving as “America’s Insider” providing behind-the-scenes access. The judges, however, are still in the dark. Their guesses for Cat Witch included Victoria Justice, Ashley Tisdale, and LISA of BLACKPINK.
Stingray delivered an emotional performance of “Momma Song” by Benson Boone, dedicating it to his mother. His clues included references to an “oracle” in his home who changed his world, and that owning a restaurant was just one part of his empire. The panel’s guesses ranged from Jaden Smith and Patrick Schwarzenegger to Donald Glover.
Galaxy Girl took the stage with a high-energy version of “Just a Girl” by No Doubt. Her clues involved a story about defiantly changing her iconic look overnight before a major shoot and mentioned the importance of holidays in her career. Judge Rita Ora called Galaxy Girl her favorite contestant and guessed Dixie D’Amelio. Other guesses included Anne Hathaway and Hilary Duff.
The Debut of 14 Karat Carrot
The second wildcard contestant of Season 14 made a memorable first impression. 14 Karat Carrot performed “Hold On, I’m Comin’” by Sam & Dave. The golden vegetable costume immediately had the judges speculating they were dealing with a music legend.
The wildcard’s clues discussed a troubled past, including being “locked away” before cleaning up his act. He stated, “I made a few bad judgment calls when I was younger, but now I’m living the golden life.” The judges’ guesses varied widely. Robin Thicke guessed Otis Williams of The Temptations. Rita Ora thought it might be Verdine White of Earth, Wind & Fire. Ken Jeong offered a dramatic, fake emotional build-up before guessing Morgan Freeman, which left the panel laughing.
