The latest episode of Tracker gave fans two big stories in one. Colter Shaw handled a dangerous missing person case in Buffalo, New York, while also making real progress on the mystery that has been bothering him all season: who killed his father.

Tracker Season 3 Episode 16, titled “Struck,” aired on CBS on April 12, 2026. The episode ran for one hour from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM ET/PT. Viewers can also watch it on Paramount+. Premium members can stream it live, while Essential members get it the next day.

A Pregnant Wife’s Desperate Search for Her Missing Husband

The episode starts when Grace Helms, who is eight months pregnant, calls Randy and Colter for help. Her husband Finn did not come home after work. She is scared because Finn missed their eight-month ultrasound, which is not like him at all. She offers a $10,000 reward to find him.

Colter travels to Buffalo to track Finn down. He looks through Finn’s work bag and finds a bloody cloth. When he goes to Finn’s workplace, he learns that Finn was fired two months ago for stealing items. But a coworker named Doyle tells Colter that Finn was getting extra jobs through an app called PowerUp. Some of those jobs are not legal.

Doyle gives Colter the address of Finn’s last job. When Colter gets there, he finds Finn’s car, a ladder leaning on an electrical pole, and two sets of tools. He climbs up and sees that the job involved stealing information by tapping into fiber optic cables. There is melted rubber on the ladder, which means someone got electrocuted there.

Colter Finds a Dead Body and a Twisted Kidnapping

A nearby security camera helps Colter and Randy see two men loading a body into a truck. Randy tracks the truck but loses it in the woods. Colter keeps searching and finds the truck down a side road. Two men are digging a grave. Colter pulls his gun and stops them.

The dead body in the grave is not Finn. The two men say a man named Paolo hired them for the job. The electrocuted worker was a random helper who touched a transformer. Finn panicked, but Paolo told him not to call the police. Paolo took Finn to a building he owns downtown.

Colter goes to Paolo’s building and finds blood drops outside. The door is unlocked. Inside, he finds Paolo on the ground, badly hurt. Paolo admits he shot Finn, but then a speeding truck hit him. The driver was a woman, and Paolo says Finn definitely knew her. Colter tells Randy he thinks Finn was having an affair.

Randy hacks into Finn’s PowerUp account and finds messages between Finn and a woman named Adelle Mucino. They met three years ago on a dating app when Finn and Grace were on a break. They had not talked since, until Adelle hired him for a job a few weeks ago.

A Deadly Obsession Puts Grace’s Life at Risk

The scene shifts to Adelle’s house. She is taking care of Finn’s gunshot wound, but he is not there by choice. He is her prisoner. Colter breaks into the house and finds proof of Adelle’s obsession. She has written her name as if she and Finn were going to marry. She made fake wedding invitations. She replaced Grace’s face in a wedding photo and has it framed in her living room.

Reenie does some digging and finds out Adelle has a history of stalking her ex-boyfriends. She was even locked up in a psychiatric facility for it. Colter realizes Adelle was the driver who hit Paolo. She took Finn to a rental property she manages.

Colter finds Finn tied to a bed in that house and frees him. Finn is terrified because Adelle left to kill Grace. Meanwhile, Adelle shows up at Grace’s door. She lies and says she found Finn on the side of the road. Grace gets in the car without her phone.

The Bridge Showdown and A Big Break in the Father’s Case

Finn and Colter race to a bridge where Adelle and Finn had their first date. They get there just as Adelle is holding Grace at gunpoint. Adelle orders Grace to step onto the railing. Finn walks up and tells Adelle he loves Grace more than anything. Grace breaks free from Adelle.

Adelle climbs onto the railing and points the gun at herself. She apologizes and lets herself fall. Colter grabs her hand just in time and pulls her back up. Adelle survives and will face charges for her crimes. Finn returns home safely to Grace. Colter gives them a wooden owl he carved for the baby and tells them to put the reward money into their child’s college fund.

The episode ends with Randy giving Colter big news about his father’s death. Randy found information about the Chronos Stasis Institute, which is connected to Colter’s dad Ashton Shaw. A man named David Pearson kept showing up in the research. Randy discovered that Ashton and David bought plane tickets to Alaska just four months before Ashton died. Government subcontractors were in the same area at the same time.

Colter looks at Randy and says, “I know what I have to do.”
