BTS‘ V and Jimin who are both well-known 95-liners and close friends, once ensured that SEVENTEEN’s Joshua, also born in 1995, received his well-deserved moment in the spotlight during the 2018 MBC Gayo Daejejeon. This memorable instance stands out as one of the best moments where BTS and SEVENTEEN fans enjoyed a crossover.
The 2018 MBC Gayo Daejejeon
The MBC Gayo Daejejeon is an annual music event aired at the end of every year. In 2018, it was hosted by Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo, SHINee’s Minho, and Noh Hongchul. The event featured interviews with idols born in the year of the pig, which included stars born in 1995, such as BTS’ Jimin and V.
Jimin and V Step In
As the show progressed, V and Jimin noticed that SEVENTEEN’s Joshua, who shares a birthday with V on December 30, was not being mentioned. Quick to act, Jimin and V approached YoonA to make sure Joshua wasn’t left out.
Despite time constraints, YoonA managed to skillfully include Joshua in the interview by asking her fellow MCs, “Shall we interview one more?” and then called out for Joshua from SEVENTEEN.
Joshua’s Moment
Caught by surprise, Joshua hurried to the front of the stage to join the interview. Before speaking, he shared a brief interaction with V, with both BTS members smiling proudly in the background as Joshua took the spotlight.
