The live stage adaptation of the popular “Reze Arc” from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s hit manga has dropped its first full trailer and announced the complete cast. The second stage play, titled “Chainsaw Man The Stage: Reze Arc,” is set to run in Tokyo and Kyoto during the summer of 2026.
The new trailer recreates key moments from the beloved story arc. Fans can see the emotional fireworks kiss between Denji and Reze, their late-night school date, and the intense pool scene where Reze offers to teach Denji “everything.” The promotional video captures the bittersweet tone that made the manga and 2025 film so popular with global audiences.
The production brings the hit movie from the big screen to live theater. The anime film “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” was a major success, earning 10.8 billion yen and attracting over 7 million viewers during its 181-day run in Japanese theaters.
Full Cast Announced for Chainsaw Man The Stage Reze Arc
Returning cast members from the first stage play in 2023 will reprise their roles. Naotake Tsuchiya is back as Denji, Mizuki Umetsu returns as Aki Hayakawa, Mahiru Coda plays Power again, and Aya Hirano will once again take on the role of Makima.
The production introduces several new actors for the Reze arc characters. Yui Yokoyama (also credited as Yui Soma) will play the mysterious Reze. Yutaro joins the cast as Angel Devil, Hayate Kajihara plays Beam, and Masahide Funaki takes the role of Violence Fiend. Masahide Tada and Yutaka Nakasone will share the role of Chainsaw Man, while Mai Kaida and Mayu Ikeda play the Bomb Devil.
Yui Yokoyama shared her thoughts about joining the production:
“I am truly honored and delighted to be able to play the role of Reze. I will live each moment carefully and sincerely in order to express Reze’s delicate emotional fluctuations, sadness, and profound charm. I will do my best to deliver a Reze that will remain in the hearts of everyone who watches the show.”
Creative Team Returns for the Second Stage Production
The core creative team from the first stage play is coming back for the Reze arc adaptation. Fumiya Matsuzaki returns as both director and scriptwriter. Shunsuke Wada will handle the music again, and HIDALI is back for choreography.
Matsuzaki spoke about the upcoming production:
“The assembled cast and staff shared the same strong aspirations without even needing to put it into words. I am still grateful to everyone who was involved in the previous production. Three years have passed. ‘Chainsaw Man The Stage’ moves on to the Reze arc. The banner remains the same, but with the knowledge and techniques that have evolved even further, we will realize everything from lyricism to the absurd as a theatrical production.”
