The upcoming Kagurabachi anime adaptation has given fans a fresh look at two important characters. The production team released new character trailers and visuals for Hinao and Char Kyonagi, building excitement before the show arrives on Crunchyroll in April 2027.

New Trailers Showcase Hinao and Char Kyonagi
The character trailers focus on two key figures from the Kagurabachi universe. Hinao works at Cafe Haru Haru, where she serves as a connection between sorcerers and the underworld. Her job puts her at the center of a dangerous network within the story’s world.
Char Kyonagi is a cheerful and brave young girl. She is being chased by dangerous people for mysterious reasons. Despite her young age, Char plays a significant role in the story. Her connection with the main character, Chihiro Rokuhira, is expected to bring emotional moments to the series.
The trailers do not include actual footage from the anime episodes. However, they are stylishly produced and give viewers a first listen to the characters’ voices.
Voice Cast Confirmed for Hinao and Char
The production team announced the voice actors for both characters. Miku Ito will voice Hinao. Ito is known for her work as Miku Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets and Kokoro Tsurumaki in BanG Dream.
Miyari Nemoto will voice Char Kyonagi. Nemoto’s previous roles include Ruri Tanigawa in Ruri Rocks and Sazanka in In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki.
Miku Ito shared her excitement about the role: “Ever since I started reading the series, I became very interested in Hinao because she is a somewhat unique character within the story. When I found out that I had been cast, I was simply so, so happy.”
Ito also mentioned that during recording, she was encouraged to keep the dialogue natural and conversational. She found opportunities to add comedic moments to the character.
Miyari Nemoto spoke about the challenge of expressing Char’s emotions through short lines. She found the recording process enjoyable once work on the character began.
These two join the previously announced cast members. Taihi Kimura voices the protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira. Katsuyuki Konishi voices Togo Shiba.
Kagurabachi Anime Staff and Production Details
The anime is directed by Tetsuya Takeuchi. Keigo Sasaki handles character designs. Animation production comes from Cypic, the studio known for Umamusume: Cinderella Gray and The Summer Hikaru Died.
Kagurabachi is based on the manga by Takeru Hokazono, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2023. The manga has gained a strong following. It surpassed 4 million copies in circulation, including digital editions.
The series won first place in the Comics Division of the Next Manga Awards 2024. The first chapter ranked No. 1 globally in views on MANGA Plus within one week of its English launch in September 2023.
The story follows Chihiro Rokuhira, a boy who wants to become a swordsmith. After his father is killed by a sorcerer organization called the Hishaku, Chihiro takes up the Enchanted Blade Enten and sets out on a path of revenge.
