About the Series
Hell Mode is based on the light novel series by Hamuo with illustrations by Mo. The story follows Kenichi Yamada, a 35-year-old gamer who chooses “Hell Mode” difficulty when he is reborn in another world. He becomes Allen, a baby born to a family of serfs. With his memories and gaming knowledge, he tries to become the strongest while dealing with a game system that is very difficult. The first season aired in January 2026, and the second season started in July 2026.
Masato Tamagawa is directing the series at Yokohama Animation Lab. Daishiro Tanimura is handling the script, and Kei Tsushima is in charge of character design. The first opening theme song for Season 2 is “○✕△□” by Romanha Marshmallow, and the first ending theme is “Firetail” by ChoQMay.
