Actor Yoo Seung-ho made his feelings clear on a tricky relationship question during the September 15, 2026 episode of SBS’s variety show “Whenever Possible” (틈만나면,). The episode featured Yoo Seung-ho and DAY6’s Young K as guests alongside hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok. The four men met in Cheongdam-dong and found themselves in a lively debate about whether someone should attend their girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend’s wedding. The conversation began after a makeup artist shared a story about clients who had gone to their ex-boyfriend’s wedding.
Yoo Seung-ho Draws a Firm Line
Yoo Seung-ho did not hold back. When asked what he would do if his girlfriend wanted to attend her ex-boyfriend’s wedding, the actor said he would try to stop her from going at all. He stated he would not even let her attend alone.
“I don’t care what the situation is. I don’t think I could go,” Yoo Seung-ho said. “I would try to persuade her by saying, ‘Don’t bother going. Don’t go that far.’”
His position stood in sharp contrast to Young K, who said he would dress up nicely and go with his girlfriend if the situation required it.
Young K and Yoo Yeon-seok Take the Opposite View
DAY6’s Young K offered a different approach. He said he would put in maximum effort to look his best and accompany his girlfriend so she would not feel upset or awkward. Yoo Yeon-seok backed Young K’s stance, pointing out that there might be situations where skipping the wedding is not an option.
“There could be a situation where you can’t be left out,” Yoo Yeon-seok said. “If they are coworkers, that changes everything.”
Yoo Jae-suk also weighed in with a practical question. He wondered if a girlfriend wanting revenge on her ex meant she still had feelings for him.
The Line That Got the Biggest Reaction
The moment that drew the strongest response came when Yoo Seung-ho shared how he would persuade his girlfriend. With calm confidence, he said:
“I think I would tell my girlfriend, ‘Dating me is already revenge against your ex-boyfriend.’”
Yoo Jae-suk laughed and agreed that only Yoo Seung-ho could get away with saying something like that. He added that the same line would never work for him, which brought laughter from the group.
A 29-Year Career and a Close Friendship
The episode also offered a look at Yoo Seung-ho’s long career and his bond with Young K. The actor, who debuted as a child actor in 2000, reflected on how the filming environment has changed over the years.
“Back then, when I went to the filming site, it was always older brothers and sisters, but now I’m the one being called ‘hyung-nim’ and ‘seonbae-nim,’” he said. “These days, filming crews finish work on time as well. Things have changed a lot.”
Yoo Seung-ho and Young K, both born in 1993, showed their easy friendship throughout the episode. Young K explained they became close after Yoo Seung-ho appeared in a DAY6 music video.
“Seung-ho once appeared as an award presenter at an award ceremony and called out, ‘Younghyun [Young K’s real name], congratulations,’” Young K shared.
Yoo Seung-ho responded warmly, saying it feels like they are connected even without speaking. The actor also revealed he lives in Gyeonggi Province and rarely visits Seoul unless he is working. He seemed fascinated by the famous restaurants in Cheongdam-dong that the others knew well, admitting he had only heard of them before.
