BLACKPINK member Lisa has added another major milestone to her solo career. Her music video for the pre-release single “SaWaDiKa“ crossed 200 million views on YouTube on October 8, 2026, making it the first music video by a K-pop artist released in 2026 to reach that number. The video achieved the feat in about 34 days, following its release on September 4 at 9 a.m. KST.
When SaWaDiKa Hit 200 Million Views
The milestone was reached at around 8 a.m. KST on October 8, according to Soompi and Gulf News. The video’s view count climbed steadily since its debut. It drew 70.8 million views in its first 24 hours, according to Thai outlet Khaosod English. That first-day figure came close to Lisa’s own record set by her 2021 solo debut “Lalisa,” which pulled in 73.6 million views in its first day.
The video passed 100 million views within two days of release, marking the fastest time for any music video released in 2026 to reach that mark. The speed of the milestone set the stage for the 200 million achievement just over a month later.
What the Song and Video Are About
The title “SaWaDiKa” comes from the Thai greeting “sawadika,” which means “hello.” The roughly three-minute track features Lisa rapping over hip-hop production. The song was produced by Thom Bridges and the duo Ojivolta. Lisa wrote it with Bridges, Mark Williams, Raul Cubina, Rachel West, and Danny Chung. It was released through LLOUD Co. and RCA Records.
The music video was directed by Bang Jae Yeob and shot in Bangkok. It includes Muay Thai, tuk-tuks, and traditional Chula kites, with fashion that mixes modern and traditional styles. Filming locations include Rong Mueang Road near Hua Lamphong, Soi Ngam Duphli in Sathorn, Soi Chaloem Khet 1 in the Yotse area, and the contemporary art space Dib Bangkok.
A day after the release, Lisa thanked everyone who worked on the project in an Instagram post.
“From Thailand to Korea to LA, it took a whole village to bring this to life.”
