Two Korean dramas moved up in the ratings on the same night. tvN’s 100 Days of Deception reached its best numbers yet on October 25, while JTBC’s Final Table climbed in its second episode. The numbers come from Nielsen Korea and show different kinds of progress for both shows.
100 Days of Deception Reaches 9.5 Percent Nationwide
100 Days of Deception recorded an average nationwide rating of 9.5 percent for its sixth episode, according to Nielsen Korea. That is a jump of 3 full percentage points from the 6.5 percent the show earned the night before. The episode also hit a peak of 10.4 percent nationwide and an average of 9.9 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area, with a peak of 10.7 percent there. The drama took first place in its time slot across all channels, including terrestrial broadcasters, in the Seoul area.
What Happened in Episode 6
The sixth episode centered on a major event. Geum Seok-jung, played by Kam Woo-sung, was shot and killed by Sato Shinichi, played by Jin Sun-kyu . Lee Ga-kyung, played by Kim You-jung, saw the shooting and broke down in tears while holding Sato Hideo, also known as Kim Tae-woong, played by Park Jin-young . The scene marked the first time her character showed real feelings instead of a lie . The episode ended with a tense moment at an interrogation, where Lee Ga-kyung was asked to interpret for Geum Seok-jung .
Final Table Climbs to 2.4 Percent
Final Table rose to an average nationwide rating of 2.4 percent for its second episode, up from 1.9 percent in its first episode . The JTBC drama stars Ahn Hyo-seop as Kang Han, a top chef known as Chris K, and Hong Hwa-yeon as Choi Song-yi, the new manager of her family’s restaurant Famiglia . In the second episode, Kang Han accepted Choi Song-yi’s offer to join a cooking competition called The Table: K-Chef 2026 . The show follows Korean chefs from around the world as they compete to be named the best Korean chef .
Director Kim Doh-hoon spoke about comparisons to the Netflix cooking show Squid Game at the production press conference.
“It would be a lie to say we weren’t conscious of ‘Squid Game.’ I prepared first, but because that came out first, it was upsetting and burdensome every time it was mentioned. On the other hand, I was grateful that the ‘Squid Game’ format raised interest in Korean cooking, fine dining, and chefs, which helped us reach viewers.”
