Love in Disguise Episode 6 arrived on November 3, 2026, and it packed a full plate: a sober kiss that refused to be forgotten, a diner brawl, a near-miss identity reveal at a police station, a second phone finally found, a mole inside the house, and a closing scene at an amusement park that broke Yoon Yi-jun’s brain in the funniest way possible. The episode earned a nationwide rating of 5.5 percent, a small but steady bump from the previous episode’s 5.0 percent, according to Nielsen Korea data shared by Soompi.

For anyone jumping in fresh: Kang Jae-hee (played by Seol In-ah) is a police detective and former special forces operative who disguises herself as a man to work as the personal secretary and bodyguard of Yoon Yi-jun (Im Si-wan), the heir to Taekang Group and the prime suspect in his secretary’s m*rder. The show blends office rom-com chaos with a serious corporate conspiracy, and Episode 6 leaned hard into both sides.

The Kiss That Would Not Go Away

Episode 6 picked up exactly where Episode 5 stopped: Yi-jun kissing Jae-hee. Jae-hee shoved him away and demanded to know what he was doing. Yi-jun, refusing to admit anything real happened, told her he had simply confirmed he was “wasting time over a trivial thing” and walked off. The line was pure Yi-jun: proud, flustered, and completely unable to process his own feelings.

The kiss lingered in his head anyway. Later at a diner, when Jae-hee took him out for a meal as “apology” for the inconvenience, Yi-jun kept stealing glances and replaying the moment. His calm exterior cracked every time Jae-hee so much as looked at him.

A Diner Fight and a Very Close Call at the Police Station

Dinner did not stay peaceful. A group of men Jae-hee had beaten up in an earlier episode spotted her at the diner and cornered her. Yi-jun jumped into the fight beside her. When one of the men tried to hit Yi-jun, Jae-hee went after him with full force, taking the attacker down and making sure Yi-jun walked out unhurt.

At the police station, the aftermath turned into a bigger problem. Jae-hee’s team received her “Code 001” text, the signal that she had landed at a police station and needed backup. An officer asked for her name and resident registration number. Jae-hee was seconds away from blowing her undercover identity in front of Yi-jun when Kim Seok-jin (Nam Hae-jun), her senior colleague at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, walked in and shut the situation down. The station chief happened to be a friend of Seok-jin’s father, and the case was quietly wrapped up.

Outside, Seok-jin checked the wound on Jae-hee’s hand. Yi-jun came out looking for her and saw Seok-jin holding her hand. His face said everything his mouth refused to. Yi-jun had already found Jae-hee’s dog tags inside the station, including a tag belonging to someone named Go Jae-deok, and the sight of another man touching her sent his jealousy into overdrive. On the walk home, Yi-jun pressed Jae-hee about who Seok-jin was. She kept her answers vague, which only made him more suspicious.

“Yi-jun’s jealousy gets the better of him when he catches Jae Hui on what appears to be a date with his fiancรฉe. Although it is just a normal outing, he lashes out at Jae Hui and pushes her away.”

The Second Phone, a New Witness, and a Mole in the House

The m*rder investigation moved forward in a big way. Han Eun-young’s missing second phone was finally recovered, and investigators found that the last number in her call history belonged to Lee Hye-jung (Kim Do-yoon). Hye-jung was summoned for questioning, and Kim Si-hyun (Kim Jung-hyun) accompanied her as Taekang’s legal representative.

Deleted data was also recovered from the phone, and police formally began questioning Hye-jung. A flashback revealed that Hye-jung had called Han Eun-young while working as a secretary and asked who else knew about Mr. Yoon’s investigation into an off-the-books fund. Han started to answer, saying “It’s someone from Mr. Yoon’sโ€ฆ,” but the call dropped before she could finish the name. Han later sent Hye-jung a photo of a financial record, and Hye-jung began wondering whether Kim Si-hyun was the person Han meant. Episode 6 did not confirm that theory.

The episode also exposed a spy inside Yi-jun’s own household. Yoon Na-jung (Park Ah-in), Yi-jun’s ambitious second sister, was shown handing an envelope of money to Manager Choi, the housekeeper. Manager Choi had been feeding Na-jung information about Yi-jun, including the fact that Yi-jun had started trusting Jae-hee. Whether Manager Choi was also responsible for the herbicide in Yi-jun’s milk remained unclear, but the leak was real.

Jae-hee brought the milk issue directly to Yi-jun. She told him about the bowl changing color after she gave milk to the cat and pointed out that Kim Si-hyun was the one who bought Yi-jun’s milk. Si-hyun walked in during the accusation, poured himself a glass, and drank it on the spot to prove the milk was clean. Jae-hee then mentioned Si-hyun’s secret meetings with Na-jung, but Yi-jun stunned her by admitting he had asked Si-hyun to approach Na-jung on purpose.

Yi-jun Finally Admits the Obvious

The jealousy and the pressure finally pushed Yi-jun into a moment of honesty. After another secretary innocently asked Jae-hee if she was single, Yi-jun’s mood turned sour. Si-hyun teased him about it once they were alone in the office, and Yi-jun cracked. He admitted he had a crush. For a man who had spent the entire episode insisting the kiss meant nothing, it was a major step, even if he only said it to his lawyer friend and not to Jae-hee herself.

Si-hyun’s own life was a mess. Hye-jung had told him she approached him intentionally and suggested they end things. At home, Yi-jun vented about Jae-hee letting Seok-jin hold her hand while Si-hyun nursed his own breakup wounds. The two men were equally hopeless in their own ways.

Si-a’s Wedding Shopping and Jae-hee’s Breaking Point

Lee Si-a (Choi Hee-jin), Yi-jun’s strategic fiancรฉe, returned with full force. She dragged Jae-hee along for wedding dress shopping and forced her to watch as she tried on gowns. Jae-hee pictured Yi-jun standing beside Si-a at the wedding and felt her chest tighten. Si-a also shared a detail about Yi-jun’s childhood: he had always craved familial love but never received it, which explained a lot about the wall he kept around himself.

At a family dinner, Si-a casually asked Chairman Yoon to give her Jae-hee as a wedding gift. The request startled Jae-hee and reminded her how little control she had over her own life. Chairman Yoon, for his part, told Yi-jun and Si-hyun that he wanted to plan the wedding soon and instructed Si-hyun to resume the share transfer to Yi-jun.

The breaking point came when Yi-jun found out Jae-hee had gone out with Si-a without telling him. He stormed into the restaurant, pulled Jae-hee away, and argued with her about meeting Si-a alone. Jae-hee fired back, accusing him of refusing to let her do her job and protect him. In his anger, Yi-jun told her to quit. She did.

“She says she was mistaken in thinking that he was a good person.”

Si-a, never one to miss an opportunity, immediately offered Jae-hee a job. It looked like Jae-hee had accepted, and Yi-jun grabbed the phone too late to stop the call.

The Amusement Park and the “Dad” That Broke Yi-jun

Episode 6’s final act belonged to Jin-hyun, a small boy who called Jae-hee “Dad.” Jae-hee took Jin-hyun to an amusement park, and they spent the day on rides and games, with Jae-hee winning a shooting game and generally being the coolest “dad” at the park. Jin-hyun is not Jae-hee’s son; he is the child of a colleague, and his nickname for her comes from a place of trust, not biology.

At home, Si-a showed up at Yi-jun’s house and told him Jae-hee was on a “date” at the amusement park. Yi-jun drove there immediately. Jin-hyun’s balloon floated away, and the boy ran after it, crashing straight into Yi-jun. Then Jin-hyun turned back toward Jae-hee and called her “Dad.”

Yi-jun froze. The man who had spent the entire episode denying his feelings, battling jealousy over Seok-jin, and admitting a crush to his lawyer was now staring at the person he liked being called “Dad” by a child. His brain short-circuited on the spot.

“Yi Jun overhears the little boy calling Jae Hui ‘Dad’ and mistakenly assumes that he (she) has a son, leaving him completely stunned.”

What Episode 6 Revealed About the Characters

Kang Jae-hee is carrying more than a m*rder case. Her backstory includes leaving the special forces after a senior colleague died saving her during a mission, a loss that left her with guilt and trauma. The dog tags Yi-jun found at the police station, including the tag for Go Jae-deok, likely connect to that past. Jae-hee’s parents mentioned that the day after the family dinner was “that day,” possibly the anniversary of her colleague’s death. The amusement park trip with Jin-hyun, the child of that fallen colleague, carries weight that Yi-jun does not yet understand.

Yoon Yi-jun grew up starved for family affection. Si-a’s story about his childhood explained why he keeps people at a distance and why he reacts so poorly when someone gets close. His feelings for Jae-hee terrify him because they are real, and Episode 6 forced him to admit that to at least one person.

Kim Seok-jin is not just a colleague. He is Jae-hee’s direct senior at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, a trusted figure in her undercover operation, and someone who clearly cares about her beyond professional duty. He saw Yi-jun kiss Jae-hee and warned her not to let Yi-jun control her.

Kim Si-hyun ended the episode cleared of the milk poisoning accusation, but his connection to Na-jung remains part of Yi-jun’s larger plan. Yoon Na-jung is playing her own game, buying information from Manager Choi and positioning herself against her brother in the succession fight. Lee Si-a is not a villain, but she is an obstacle, and her request to have Jae-hee as a “wedding gift” showed how casually the people around Jae-hee treat her autonomy.
