tvN’s “Love in Disguise” has given viewers a look at what happens when the cameras stop rolling, and the answer is a lot of laughter. A new making-of video for episodes 5 and 6 shows Yim Si Wan, Seol In Ah, and the rest of the cast dropping their serious on-screen faces for a much lighter mood between takes. The clip, released in early November 2026, opens with Seol In Ah walking Yim Si Wan through how a behind-the-scenes video is supposed to work, nudging him to greet the fans watching. That small moment sets the tone for a set where the leads keep breaking into laughter, the crew joins in, and the jokes flow as freely as the scripted dialogue.

The Set Turns Into a Comedy Show

Yim Si Wan and Seol In Ah have trouble holding back laughter while filming the drama’s sillier scenes. Their characters’ antics are funny enough on paper, but the two actors make the entire set burst into laughter with their delivery and timing. The mood shifts quickly when the cameras roll on action beats. Both performers pull it together for the physical scenes and earn applause from the crew for how sharp they look on camera. That back-and-forth between comedy and action is a big part of what makes “Love in Disguise” work, and the making-of video shows how naturally the cast moves between the two.

An Accidental Kiss During Rehearsal

One of the most talked-about moments in the behind-the-scenes footage happened during a rehearsal for a scene involving Seol In Ah’s character going outside to catch a cat while drunk. Yim Si Wan and Seol In Ah were practicing their movements when they accidentally kissed before the cameras officially started rolling. The director’s reaction was instant and hilarious.

“I told you to do it after I say action! Why are you doing it when we haven’t even started yet?” the director said, according to the behind-the-scenes video.

The unexpected moment brought more laughter to the set and showed how comfortable the two actors are with each other. The video also captured them teasing each other during breaks. Yim Si Wan jokingly claimed that Seol In Ah had told him not to contact her.

“I was banned from contacting Jae Hee, so I couldn’t get in touch,” he explained.

Seol In Ah then revealed that he had actually sent her a message telling her not to feel upset if he stopped contacting her. She recalled him asking, “How was it? You were bored because I really didn’t contact you, right?” before admitting, “But I really was bored”. After the accidental kiss and the actual filming, the two carefully reviewed their scenes together. Seol In Ah expressed her wish for the moment to look good on screen.

“We have to look pretty together,” she said, even requesting another take to improve the scene.

Yoo Su Bin Drops By and Jokes About a Love Triangle

Yoo Su Bin makes a special appearance on the police station set, and his visit adds another layer of comedy. He shares his anticipation for the drama, and Seol In Ah immediately starts teasing a brand-new love line between Yim Si Wan’s character and Yoo Su Bin’s character. Yoo Su Bin plays along with the joke.

“It’s sort of a love triangle,” he says.

Seol In Ah fires back, “What? I’m a little flustered right now”. His ad-libs keep the station scenes loose from there, contributing to the bright atmosphere on set. The joke works because the drama already plays with ideas of bromance and romance, with Yim Si Wan’s character forming intense bonds that blur the line between friendship and something more.

Seol In Ah Jokes About Season 2 Without Yim Si Wan

Choi Hee Jin, who plays Yim Si Wan’s fiancée Lee Si A in the drama, is just as taken with Seol In Ah’s performance. Yim Si Wan points out how well the two actresses get along, and Seol In Ah jokes about a future season without him.

“I’ll do Season 2 [with Choi Hee Jin]. Bye, oppa,” she says.

Yim Si Wan’s comeback is instant: “You’re going to throw me away this easily?”. The exchange draws more laughter from the set and shows how easily the cast banters with each other.

The Real-Life Bond Behind the On-Screen Chemistry

The playful energy on set did not happen by accident. Seol In Ah has spoken about how Yim Si Wan’s approach to rehearsals helped them build chemistry quickly. On the web variety show “Salon Drip 2,” she explained that they did a lot of rehearsing before filming started.

“At first, I thought we’d only practice the script and do table reads, but he suggested we try a rehearsal,” she said.

Yim Si Wan told her, “In-ah, let’s stand up and try it. I’ll arrange the movements like this,” and even worked out the blocking with her. That seriousness paid off. Seol In Ah also confessed to an unexpected heart-fluttering moment during a confrontational scene.

“He came so close. There was a scene like that, and I swallowed hard at that moment. I wondered what I was supposed to do,” she said.

She added, “It was a confrontational scene, so there needed to be tension. He kept coming to within a few millimeters of me”. Her honest reaction drew laughter on the show, and she quickly clarified that she meant she was happy to have a scene partner who was so committed to the work.

The two also shared an anecdote about taking the KTX high-speed train to Busan for location shoots. Seol In Ah suggested they practice their lines during the two-hour ride, but Yim Si Wan initially turned her down. She laughed and told the director, “Si-wan says he won’t rehearse with me”. The director asked him to go with her, and in the end, Yim Si Wan told her to cancel her existing ticket and booked tickets for both of them himself. He even brought snacks for the journey.

“The two hours felt short. It was an important scene we had to shoot right away, so I wanted to make use of the travel time to talk things through,” he explained.

Yim Si Wan also expressed his gratitude to Seol In Ah for making the process easy.

“I was able to get close so quickly thanks to In-ah. Since she approached me so warmly first, I was able to let my guard down quickly, too,” he said.

What ‘Love in Disguise’ Is About

“Love in Disguise” is a 12-episode thriller romance about Yoon Yi Jun (Yim Si Wan), a third-generation chaebol heir to Taegang Group who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of his secretary, Han Eun Young. Kang Jae Hee (Seol In Ah) is a former special forces officer turned police detective who cuts her hair, disguises herself as a man, and joins Yi Jun as his personal secretary and bodyguard to investigate him. The longer she spends with him, the harder it becomes to see him only as a suspect.

The drama is based on the Kakao web novel “Why Don’t You Know It’s a Girl?” by Lee A Yeon and Ryu Do Ha, which was later adapted into a webtoon illustrated by One Punch Rabbit. Director Park Dan Hee and writer Moon Soo Jung bring the story to life. Kim Jung Hyun plays Kim Si Hyun, Yi Jun’s close friend and a lawyer on Taegang Group’s legal team, while Yeonwoo plays Lee Hye Jung, the secretary to Taegang Group’s chairman. The second pair’s more mature relationship offers a contrast to the central love story.

Director Park Dhan-hee said one of the biggest challenges was balancing the show’s different genres. “I spent a lot of time thinking about how to bring together romance, comedy and action,” he said, adding that the cast built strong chemistry through months of script readings before filming.
