Doyoung, a key member of the group, recently performed multiple dates as part of his 2024 DOYOUNG CONCERT [Dear Youth] in Japan.

During the performance of his song “Rest,” Doyoung became visibly emotional, leading to a tearful moment that affected his singing. He briefly stepped away but returned to finish the performance. In his letter, Doyoung wrote:

“I’m really sorry for being so late, and for sending this message so late to fans, who must have been worried about me. I don’t even know how many times I struggled with how to write this, writing and erasing. The reason it took me so long to figure it out was that this time, I really wanted to think about myself.”

He mentioned that he had been waiting for a proper moment to address his fans without distractions and apologized for the delay. He expressed deep gratitude for the support he received at his concerts and acknowledged his emotional struggle during the song “Rest.”

“I cried a lot during the song Rest without realizing it, and I feel very sorry to the Czennies who came to hear me sing, as I wasn’t able to perform as well as I hoped. If anything I say is misunderstood or misinterpreted, it would deeply sadden me.”

Doyoung reassured fans that he remains committed to performing with all his heart and asked them not to worry about his singing. He promised to continue giving his best on stage and expressed appreciation for the ongoing support from his fans.

“Starting tomorrow, I believe we will cherish each other even more and spend time together. Sweet dreams and restful sleep.”
