Actress Han So Hee has returned to her personal blog for the first time since March 2024, following the public attention surrounding her relationship with actor Ryu Jun Yeol and the subsequent discussions involving Girl’s Day’s Hyeri. In a post shared on January 12, 2025 (KST), Han So Hee reflected on the past year and shared her thoughts with fans.

Han So Hee’s Reflection and Blog Comeback

Following the revelation of her relationship with Ryu Jun Yeol in March 2024, which led to widespread online discussion involving Hyeri, Han So Hee had deactivated her blog, maintaining a presence only on Instagram. Her recent blog post marks her first return to this platform since then.

In her post, Han So Hee acknowledged her period of silence and explained that she had been spending time in self-reflection. She began by mentioning a seemingly random purchase of six houseplants, expressing a desire to bring life into her space and perhaps find a sense of growth alongside them.

She then pondered how others spent the end of 2024, asking whether they dwelled on the past or looked forward to the new year. Han So Hee also expressed her concern about the state of the world, feeling disheartened and sometimes powerless, even admitting to occasionally blaming fate. She shared a hope that in the coming year, people can focus on simply getting through each day rather than being burdened by worries.

“Looks like another year has come to an end, after all. Not too long ago, I randomly bought six houseplants. I’m not sure why. Perhaps I thought bringing some life into my space might help me feel a little more alive and flourish alongside them.

How did you spend the end of 2024? Did you hang on to the shadows of the dazzling lights that keep the night bright? Or did you quietly wait for the new year to dawn?

All the things we hear about this world that we live in makes the new year weigh heavy on my heart. It’s disheartening that all I can do in response is offer a few words of mourning and comfort. Sometimes, I feel powerless—and other times, I catch myself blaming the heavens for no reason.

I hope, for the coming year, we can all start with the resolve that it’s more than enough to simply get through each day, rather than being burdened by concerns.

I’ve been well. I’ve been spending time reflecting on myself, confronting my narrow perspectives, mistakes, and the self-reproach that follows. There’s a lot to work through, and I’m still far from done. Occasionally, some of you dropped by this blog. So, as I ramble on with these excuses (although they’re not meant to be excuses), I can’t help but feel small.”

A Message to Fans and Hopes for the Future

Han So Hee explained that she returned to her blog for those fans who had been waiting for her updates. She also discussed the difference in courage between one’s twenties and thirties, mentioning that she started writing the post in December 2024 but only recently finished it due to her worries about the current emotional climate.

She offered words of comfort, urging everyone to stay warm, take care of themselves, and stretch often to combat stress. While acknowledging her own struggles with these practices, she emphasized the importance of trying.

“Anyway! This is just me sharing my thoughts. I’m not trying to make anyone feel any way.

It seems that the level of courage we have in our 20s is definitely different from that in our 30s. I started writing this post back in December 2024. Now that I’m finally getting around to finishing it, I’m worried. I worry that it’s so cold. I worry that a lot of us might not be feeling emotionally whole right now.

I hope everyone is at least keeping warm. Do you have your winter coats, scarves, and earmuffs ready? Maybe even a heated cushion? You can get those. Don’t forget to stretch often. They say stress is the root of all illnesses. Of course, I’m not the best at doing these things myself. I try, though.

I’m writing this for those of you who had cherished my blog. This blog used to be such a big part of my life. My writing has always been disorganized, and it seems that hasn’t changed much.

These days, I find myself appreciating the small things, like asking how others are doing and seeing the true value of uneventful days. Please know that whenever I get to see you and we share some vague promise to meet again, those moments deeply affect my day.

Here is a pair of slightly over-the-top fuzzy socks I bought…

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I hope we all stay safe and sound. May this winter be a little less cold and a little less painful for all. Let us bury our complicated emotions in the snow and bloom like flowers in the spring to come.”

— Han So Hee

Han So Hee concluded her post with a heartfelt message of hope, wishing everyone safety and warmth during the winter and expressing a desire for healing and renewal in the coming spring.
