BIGBANG’s G-Dragon is making a highly anticipated solo comeback with a full studio album, “Übermensch,” set to release on February 25, 2025. This marks his first full album in 11 years, exciting fans worldwide.
An 11-Year Wait Ends
G-Dragon shared a teaser video on Instagram on February 4, 2025, revealing the album title and release date. The short clip features two glowing figures approaching each other amidst vibrant lights. This announcement comes after a long wait since his last EP, COUP D’ETAT, in 2013.
G-Dragon previously released the single “POWER” in October 2024, which quickly gained global attention. He also collaborated with fellow BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung on the track “HOME SWEET HOME.” Both tracks are expected to be included in “Übermensch.”
Recent Activities and Future Plans
G-Dragon recently performed at the 2024 MAMA Awards in Osaka, Japan. He shared the stage with Taeyang and Daesung, marking BIGBANG’s first group performance at the event in nine years. The trio performed hits like “BANG BANG BANG” and “Fantastic Baby,” and also premiered their new song, “HOME SWEET HOME.”
The artist will also appear in the upcoming variety show Good Day alongside Jung Hyung Do. Directed by PD Kim Tae Ho, the show follows G-Dragon as he collaborates with various individuals to create the “Song of the Year.” He will produce the music and share the entire creative process in this reality show format.
The Good Day cast includes a star-studded lineup: Hwang Jung Min, Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Go Eun, Jung Hae In, Yim Si Wan, SEVENTEEN’s BSS, chef Anh Sung Jae, CODE KUNST, Kian84, Cho Sae Ho, and Hong Jin Kyung. The show premieres on February 16, 2025, on MBC and Disney+.
