Levi revealed that some people in the industry refuse to work with him because of his conservative opinions. He said his team warned him about this backlash but did not share specific names. The actor admitted he expected this reaction and did not make his decision lightly.
“I know that there are people that would prefer not to work with me now because of my opinions. My team has let me know. They haven’t given me any specific names, but there are people who prefer not to work with me at this time. And it’s unfortunate.”
Levi has been vocal about his support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who later endorsed Trump in 2023. His political stance has sparked debates online, especially after he agreed with a tweet calling Pfizer a “real danger to the world.” He also faced criticism for his comments on the SAG-AFTRA strike, though he later walked back his statements.
Several co-stars from Shazam!, including Rachel Zegler, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Asher Angel, unfollowed him on social media. Broadway actor Laura Benanti, who worked with Levi in She Loves Me, publicly criticized him, saying she “never liked” him and condemned his anti-vaccine views.
Despite the backlash, Levi remains firm in his beliefs. During an appearance on Bill Maher’s podcast, he joked about being “canceled” but confirmed that none of his projects were affected. He emphasized that standing by his values was more important than his career.
“Have I been canceled? I hope I haven’t been canceled yet. None of my projects have been compromised.”
Earlier this year, Levi appeared on The Megyn Kelly Show, where he explained how Tulsi Gabbard influenced his decision to back Trump. He said he felt at peace with his choice, even if it meant risking his Hollywood career.
“I felt peace because I knew that this was more important than saving my career. We need to be wise and want to survive, but we can’t make decisions just based on fear.”
Levi also criticized Hollywood, saying the industry is “falling apart.” He questioned whether losing acting opportunities mattered if the world was in crisis. His comments reflect his belief that political integrity outweighs professional consequences.
