The high-octane Twisted Metal series is gearing up for its explosive second season, premiering July 31, 2025 on Peacock. Based on the classic PlayStation game, the show blends post-apocalyptic chaos with dark humor and brutal car battles. Season 2 introduces fresh faces alongside fan-favorite characters, all competing in the deadly Twisted Metal tournament.

Hereโ€™s everything you need to know about the cast and characters of Twisted Metal Season 2.

Returning Cast Members

Anthony Mackie reprises his role as John Doe, the amnesiac delivery driver seeking a better life. After surviving the dangers of Season 1, John now enters the deadly tournament hosted by the enigmatic Calypso. Mackie, best known as Captain America in the MCU, brings charisma and action chops to the role.

Stephanie Beatriz returns as Quiet, a fierce survivor with a tragic past. Separated from John at the end of Season 1, she reunites with him for the tournament. Beatriz, famous for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, delivers a mix of toughness and vulnerability.

The terrifying Sweet Tooth, the murderous clown, is back with Joe “Samoa Joe” Seanoa performing the physical role and Will Arnett voicing him. A fan-favorite villain, Sweet Tooth remains a chaotic force in the wasteland.

Anthony Carrigan joins as Calypso, the mysterious tournament host. Though only glimpsed in Season 1, Carriganโ€™s version of Calypso promises to be a sinister and charismatic figure.

New Faces in Twisted Metal Season 2

Tiana Okoye plays Dollface, a vigilante leader and John Doeโ€™s long-lost sister. Her reunion with John adds emotional depth to the high-stakes action.

Michael James Shaw (The Walking Dead) joins as Axel, a fearless driver with giant monster truck tires for hands. Showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith teased Axelโ€™s unique challenges in bringing the game character to life.

Saylor Bell Curda (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) takes on the role of Mayhem, another tournament competitor.

Lisa Gilroy (Interior Chinatown) appears as Vermin, adding more chaos to the deadly contest.

Richard de Klerk plays Mr. Grimm, a soul-collecting biker from the games. Smith confirmed Grimmโ€™s importance, calling him a personal favorite.

Patty Guggenheim steps into the role of Raven, replacing Neve Campbell. Season 1 revealed multiple Ravens, and Guggenheimโ€™s version is the real deal.

What to Expect in Season 2

Season 2 picks up seven months after the events of Season 1, diving straight into the Twisted Metal tournament. Contestants battle for a single wish granted by Calypso, but only one can survive.

The showrunner promises more car combat, dark humor, and emotional twists. With 12 episodes (two more than Season 1), the season will feature intense rivalries, shocking betrayals, and brutal vehicular warfare.

Anthony Mackie teased: “The tournament spans most of the season because itโ€™s multiple missions. Youโ€™ll get to pick who you root forโ€”and who you think will win.”

Stephanie Beatriz added: “Itโ€™s a wild mix of comedy, action, and real emotional moments. Youโ€™ve never seen a show like this.”
