The wait for Ruby Bell and James Beaufort‘s return is almost over. The second season of the global hit Maxton Hall – The World Between Us is set to premiere on November 7, 2025, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Unlike the first season, which released all episodes at once, the new season will debut with a three-episode drop, followed by a weekly release schedule.

What to Expect in Season 2
The new season continues the story from the best-selling book “Save You,” the second novel in Mona Kasten’s trilogy. The official description for the season sets the stage for more drama.

The story picks up after the tragic death of James’ mother, which will deeply affect him and his relationship with Ruby. Teasers show James seemingly partying with other girls, including a scene where he kisses Elaine in a pool, while a hurt Ruby looks on. Despite the heartbreak, James is expected to try everything to win Ruby back. The season will also continue to follow the storyline of James’ twin sister, Lydia, and her pregnancy.
The main cast, including Harriet Herbig-Matten as Ruby Bell and Damian Hardung as James Beaufort, all return for the new season. Key supporting actors like Sonja Weißer (Lydia), Ben Felipe (Cyril), and Fedja van Huêt (Mortimer) are also back. The season is directed once again by Martin Schreier.
Following its debut in May 2024, the first season of Maxton Hall became Prime Video’s most-watched international original series of all time. Its success has already led to the confirmation that a third season is in the works to complete the trilogy adaptation.
