Recap of Episode 6: “Asset Forfeiture”
Episode 6 set the stage for major conflicts. The death of Claudia Flynn was publicly blamed on a rival cartel, a move that pleased Tommy Egan but was seen through by U.S. Attorney Stacy Marks. Meanwhile, Jenard Sampson worked to turn Tommy’s allies against him. He successfully convinced Diamond Sampson to make a secret deal with a Chinese gang and is now trying to turn Vic Flynn as well.
A major personal development shook Tommy’s world: Mireya Garcia is pregnant with his child. This news also impacted her brother, Miguel Garcia, who had a deal with the cartel boss Ortega to kill Tommy. Choosing to protect his future family, Miguel called off the hit. However, this decision came with a severe price. The episode ended with Miguel receiving a deadly “calling card” from Ortega, signaling his life is now in grave danger.
