Popular Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun is having a meltdown (of adorableness) thanks to his fans! Just two days after joining the fan communication app Bubble, Kim Soo Hyun admitted defeat, overwhelmed by the sheer volume of messages from his devoted supporters.
Bubble allows stars to connect directly with fans through a private messaging service. This was the first time Soo Hyun, known for his roles in dramas like “My Love From the Star,” had ever used such a platform. Excited to connect with his fans, he wrote, “Please take good care of me from now on. Let’s do research and make this work together.. It’s hard to figure out what tone to use here..”
Fans were ecstatic! They flooded Kim Soo Hyun’s Bubble with messages, eager to chat with their idol. One fan, still giddy from a late-night message, wrote, “This is crazy I sent Kim Soo Hyun a Bubble at 2 am and the ‘1’ is gone….!!!! I was drunk and wrote ‘I miss you’, and now I’m shaking.” Another shared, “He read my Bubble at 6 am TT.”
The love was pouring in, and Kim Soo Hyun, determined to connect with everyone, tried to read every single message. Fans noticed the “seen” notification popping up at odd hours, speculating that Kim Soo Hyun was checking in constantly.
But after two days of this marathon message-reading session, Kim Soo Hyun threw in the towel. He confessed to his fans on Bubble, writing, “So…. you know how when people send too many messages in one chat room, you get overloaded and you just can’t read it all..”
