Park Shin Hye, well-known for her roles in popular K-dramas, recently shared exciting details about her action-packed performance in the upcoming series, The Judge from Hell. In an interview, she revealed that she performed most of the stunts herself, even though a stunt double was available.

Park Shin Hye Talks About Stunt Work

In a recent appearance on Yoo Jae Suk‘s popular YouTube talk show, DdeunDdeun, on September 18, 2024, Park Shin Hye discussed her role in the highly anticipated drama The Judge from Hell. The actress surprised viewers by revealing that she performed nearly all of her action scenes in the show. Despite having a stuntwoman on set, she chose to do most of the difficult scenes on her own.

Park explained that the show required action scenes in almost every episode, making the physical demands of her role one of the most intense of her career. The fact that she insisted on handling the stunts herself demonstrates her dedication to the role.

A Unique Character and Plot

In The Judge from Hell, Park Shin Hye plays the role of Kang Bit Na, an elite judge with a captivating yet dark secret: she is actually a demon. The show’s storyline is quite unique, centering around Kang Bit Na, who eliminates evil individuals and sends them to Hell without hesitation. She targets those who cause harm to others and show no remorse.

Her character takes on a more sinister and intense persona, which is a departure from her previous, typically softer roles. This shift in her career earned her the nickname ‘poor Park Shin Hye‘ as she has taken on a grittier role compared to her earlier projects. Park mentioned that this new direction allowed her to explore a different side of acting, showcasing her range and talent.

Supporting Cast and Plot Details

In The Judge from Hell, Park Shin Hye is joined by an impressive ensemble cast including:

  • Kim Jae Young as Han Da On, a friendly and intelligent detective with hidden sorrow, who crosses paths with Kang Bit Na.
  • Kim In Kwon, Kim Hye Hwa, Lee Joong Ok, Choi Dong Goo, Lee Mi Do, Lee Kyu Han, and Do Eun Ha.

The interaction between Kang Bit Na and Han Da On forms a significant part of the story, bringing complexity to the plot. Their lives become deeply intertwined, setting up intense dynamics between good and evil, judgment and justice.

Air Date and Production

The Judge from Hell is set to premiere on September 21, 2024, and will air every Friday and Saturday on the South Korean network SBS. The show is directed by Park Jin Pyo, who is known for delivering engaging and thrilling dramas. Fans can expect suspense, drama, and action as the show unfolds.
