AMC Global Media is opening its vault of otherworldly evidence. A six-part docuseries called Archive X: Unexplained Phenomena is set to premiere on Thursday, October 1, 2026, bringing a century’s worth of paranormal research to television screens for the first time. Hosted by Professor Jeffrey J. Kripal of Rice University, the series draws from the institution’s Center for the Impossible—a vast archive containing more than one million pieces of evidence on UFO encounters, alien abductions, telepathy, near-death experiences, and messages from the beyond.

The show incorporates the work of Pulitzer Prize-winning Harvard psychiatrist Dr. John E. Mack and bestselling author Whitley Strieber. Mack risked his academic career to study people who claimed to have been abducted by aliens, while Strieber chronicled his own alleged experiences in his book Communion. Archive X: Unexplained Phenomena is developed for television by Harris Fishman and October Films Ltd.
