BLACKPINK members Lisa and Jisoo released new solo music on the same day, September 4, 2026. The two K-pop stars went head-to-head with their latest singles, creating one of the most talked-about moments in K-pop this year.
Lisa dropped “SaWaDiKa” at 9:00 AM KST, while Jisoo followed four hours later with “CLICK” at 1:00 PM KST. Both songs arrived on the same date, giving fans a chance to compare the two artists’ solo directions side by side.
The early numbers tell a clear story. Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” opened far ahead on major streaming platforms. Jisoo’s “CLICK” also performed well, but the gap between the two releases turned heads across the industry.
Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” Tops Jisoo’s “CLICK” on Spotify
Spotify’s Global Daily Chart showed a big difference between the two songs. Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” debuted at No. 13 with about 2.79 million streams on its first day. Jisoo’s “CLICK” entered at No. 186 with around 1.25 million streams.
The gap grew wider on the second day. “SaWaDiKa” stayed inside the Global Top 50 at No. 32, pulling in about 2.08 million streams. “CLICK” dropped out of the Global Top 200 completely.
Looking at Jisoo’s past releases, the numbers show a downward trend. Her 2023 solo debut “FLOWER” entered Spotify’s global daily chart at No. 6 with 4.67 million first-day streams. Her 2025 track “earthquake” came in at No. 110. “CLICK” at No. 186 continues that pattern.
On Apple Music’s global ranking, “SaWaDiKa” placed at No. 29, while “CLICK” ranked at No. 156. The Worldwide iTunes Song Chart showed a closer race, with Lisa at No. 2 and Jisoo at No. 7.

The music videos for both songs also showed different levels of early engagement.
Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” music video hit 1 million views within one hour of release. It crossed 30 million views in just ten hours. Around 13 hours after release, the video passed 40 million views.
Jisoo’s “CLICK” music video reached 1 million views in about one hour and 46 minutes. After nine hours, it hit 5 million views.
Both music videos occupied the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the global trending chart for music videos.
On the US iTunes chart, “SaWaDiKa” placed at No. 4, while “CLICK” reached No. 15. In Thailand, Lisa’s home country, “SaWaDiKa” hit No. 1 on the iTunes chart. Jisoo showed stronger performance in South Korea, with “CLICK” entering major digital charts like Melon, Genie, and Bugs.
“Lisa’s new single ‘SaWaDiKa’ recorded approximately 2.79 million Spotify streams on its first day, while Jisoo’s ‘CLICK’ recorded approximately 1.25 million streams.”
Different Musical Directions for Both Artists
Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” marks her first solo single of 2026. The track serves as the lead single from her upcoming EP “PRESS PLAY,” which is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026. The EP will contain six songs.
The song’s title comes from a Thai greeting meaning “hello.” Lisa returns to her rap roots on this track, delivering sharp verses over energetic production. The music video was filmed in Bangkok, Thailand, and features iconic Thai cultural elements like Muay Thai and tuk-tuks. Thom Bridges, who has worked with Katseye and John Summit, produced the track alongside songwriting duo Ojivolta.
Jisoo’s “CLICK” serves as the first single from her debut full-length solo album. The cinematic music video was directed by Joseph Kahn, known for his work with major artists. In the video, Jisoo plays the last sentient cyborg in a theme park forgotten by time. The reflective pop single explores the moment when two people from different worlds find each other.
Fan Reactions Split Over Same-Day Releases
The simultaneous releases sparked mixed reactions among fans. Some expressed excitement about getting new music from both artists at once. Others raised questions about the timing.
One fan commented: “What’s wrong with them, seriously,” reflecting frustration over the close release dates. Some fans speculated about competition between the members, with one user saying: “The way you can tell these two genuinely hate Jisoo because they were both releasing music anyway, yet they could’ve easily released earlier or later but somehow chose to drop right around Jisoo’s release just to block her”.
Other fans offered more balanced views. One wrote: “All the”, suggesting a more measured perspective on the situation.
A fan poll conducted by InMusic ranked Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” as the best new release of the week with 65% of the vote, beating Jisoo, Miley Cyrus, and ADÉLA.
On theqoo, a Korean online forum, fans shared their anticipation: “Oh, so Lisa is coming back too, huh?” and “Jisoo’s song looks good. I liked Jisoo’s solo song. It hyped me up”.
