FTISLAND’s drummer Choi Min Hwan reportedly sold his family home in Gangnam for 3.8 billion KRW (approximately 2.7 million USD) in August 2024. The sale comes amidst legal disputes and public controversies following his divorce from ex-wife Yulhee, a former member of LABOUM.
Details of the Property and Sale
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport disclosed the property’s sale through its real transaction price system, confirming the 3.8 billion KRW transaction value. Minhwan had purchased the home about a decade ago for 1.2 billion KRW (approximately 855,288 USD).
The property, situated in Yulhyun Dong, was custom-built by Minhwan as a multi-family residence. It features one basement floor and two above-ground floors, designed to accommodate Minhwan’s extended family. Minhwan, Yulhee, and their children previously occupied the main floor, while his parents resided on the upper level.
Following the couple’s divorce in December 2023, Minhwan reportedly continued living in the house with his children and parents, while Yulhee moved out.

Minhwan is currently under police investigation for allegedly soliciting prostitution, a claim that has drawn significant public and media attention.
