A tiny film with no stars and a budget of just ₹2 crore has done what many big-budget films dream of. Hanuman Ansh, the spiritual drama based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, has crossed the ₹350 crore mark at the worldwide box office after 46 days in theatres. The film has now overtaken the lifetime earnings of major pan-India releases like Ram Charan’s Peddi, Yash’s Toxic, and Vijay’s Jana Nayagan.
How Much Has Hanuman Ansh Earned Worldwide
Hanuman Ansh has collected ₹352.30 crore worldwide after 46 days, according to Sacnilk data cited by multiple outlets. On its 46th day, which was a Monday, the film earned ₹4 crore nett in India and about ₹50 lakh from overseas markets.
The film’s India nett collection now stands at ₹275.88 crore, with an India gross of ₹325.80 crore. Overseas earnings have reached ₹26.50 crore.
The film’s journey has been nothing short of surprising. It opened with just ₹10 lakh and had earned barely ₹1.50 crore in its first two weeks. Everything changed after positive word of mouth spread. From its fourth week onwards, the film started collecting over ₹60 crore nett in India each week.

The film’s week-wise India nett collections show a clear pattern of growth after a slow start:
- Week 1: ₹1.08 crore
- Week 2: ₹40 lakh

- Week 6: ₹80.25 crore
- Week 7 (through Monday): ₹32.50 crore
The seventh weekend alone contributed ₹28.50 crore to the India nett total, with Sunday being the biggest day at ₹13.75 crore.
Hanuman Ansh Beats Peddi, Toxic, Jana Nayagan Lifetime Collections
The film has now moved past the lifetime worldwide earnings of several big-budget pan-India films released in 2026:
- Vijay’s Jana Nayagan: ₹324 crore
- Yash’s Toxic: ₹341 crore
- Ram Charan’s Peddi: ₹342 crore
Hanuman Ansh now ranks as the third-highest-grossing Indian film of 2026, behind only Dhurandhar 2 and Border 2. The film has also moved ahead of Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla to become the third-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
A ₹2 Crore Budget That Changed Everything
The film was made on a reported production budget of just ₹2 crore. Its worldwide gross of ₹352 crore means it has earned roughly 175 times its original investment. The film features no major stars and was shot without the kind of marketing push that big-budget films receive.
Hombale Films acquired the worldwide distribution rights for the film earlier this month and gave it an international release on September 11, 2026. In just three weeks overseas, the film has grossed $2.8 million (about ₹26 crore).
Who Is Behind Hanuman Ansh
Hanuman Ansh is written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi. The film stars Shobhinaw Satyaa in the lead role of Neem Karoli Baba, alongside Vihaan Shedge, Chandan K Anand, Purnima Tiwari, Anil Rastogi, Gulshan Pandey, and Bhagvandas Patel.
The film tells the story of Lakshminarayan, a grieving young man who travels across North India after his mother’s death in search of spiritual answers. His journey eventually leads him to become the revered saint Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharaj Ji.
How Hanuman Ansh Performed Overseas
The international release of Hanuman Ansh came later than its domestic debut. Hombale Films announced the global release through Hombale Overseas in collaboration with local partner Phars Film. The studio shared the news on social media:

On its 46th day (Monday, September 21), Hanuman Ansh earned ₹4 crore nett in India across 7,629 shows with an overall occupancy of 15 per cent. Morning shows had 9 per cent occupancy, afternoon shows had 15.23 per cent, and evening shows recorded 16.38 per cent.
The Monday figures represented a 70.9 per cent drop compared to Sunday, which is normal for a film in its seventh week.
The Next Target for Hanuman Ansh
The film’s next box office benchmark is Border 2, which has earned over ₹450 crore worldwide. Border 2 reportedly collected ₹329.43 crore nett in India, and Hanuman Ansh needs to cross that figure to move further up the domestic rankings.
Hanuman Ansh continues to run in theatres across India and overseas markets. The film’s worldwide total stands at ₹352.30 crore after 46 days.
