Hearts2Hearts released the official music video for “Next Chapter” on October 16, 2026, at 6 PM KST. The song is a collaboration with the mobile game Arena of Valor, celebrating the game’s 10th anniversary. It also marks the first English-language single from the SM Entertainment girl group. The track arrived on all major music platforms at the same time the video went live on the group’s official YouTube channel.
The single is a synth-pop dance track built on bright electronic sounds and the group’s energetic vocals. The English lyrics carry a simple, direct message about stepping into a new world, trusting each other, and pushing through challenges together. The song runs just under three minutes, and the release includes both the main track and an instrumental version.
A Song Built for a Game’s Big Milestone
Arena of Valor is a multiplayer online battle arena game developed by Tencent Games and Garena. The game launched in 2016, and the 10th-anniversary celebration brought Hearts2Hearts on board for a special collaboration single. The choice of “Next Chapter” as the title lines up with the game’s move into its next decade.
The lyrics use language that fits the gaming world without forcing it. Lines like “Tap into the world” and “Open up all the doors” set up the idea of entering something new. Later, the song declares “Next chapter, now begins” and “Our victory’s on the way,” which connects the song’s message to the game’s theme of levels, progress, and wins. The group’s vocals stay bright throughout, keeping the mood playful rather than heavy.
Inside the Music Video
The “Next Chapter” video leans into a gaming-inspired visual setup. The colour palette is packed with pink, yellow, blue, and purple, and the screen fills with laser beams and holographic projections. The setting feels digital and futuristic, but the video keeps a soft, playful tone instead of turning into a dark sci-fi piece.
Choreography plays a large role in the video. The formations are sharp and coordinated, with tutting and precise hand movements that echo the digital theme. The dance does not sit apart from the concept. The robotic, mechanical touches in the movements match the laser effects and the holographic backdrops, making the whole video feel like one connected piece.
The members appear throughout the video, and animated sequences are mixed in with the live-action shots. The video passed 2 million views on YouTube shortly after release, with the comment section active from the first day.
