Punjabi singer Jasmine Sandlas is facing heavy criticism from fans after her recent live show in Hyderabad. Concertgoers have taken to social media to express their anger over a reported three-hour delay and claims that she lip-synced during the performance. The event, held at Quake Arena on June 27, left many attendees disappointed and demanding refunds.
Jasmine Sandlas Faces Heavy Backlash After Hyderabad Concert
The singer, who is known for her energetic stage presence and hit tracks, was scheduled to perform at 8 PM. According to multiple reports, she did not appear on stage until around 11:20 PM, with no acknowledgment or apology for the long wait. This did not sit well with fans who had paid for tickets and waited for hours.
One fan, Abhiruchi Gupta, shared her disappointment on Instagram. The attendee claimed the singer was late and lip-synced.
“The show was supposed to start at 8 pm @jasminesandlas you came at 11:20 with no acknowledgement or apology at all ?? THREE HOURS LATE !!!And then you come and lip sync, literally what, on a live show??? Then leave abruptly at end, without any thank you, sorry or anything at all!!”
Gupta also said the performance appeared pre-recorded. She added that Jasmine Sandlas appeared out of sync at certain points. She called it her “worst experience of a live performance” and said she would not recommend the singer’s future shows.
Fans and Attendees React on Social Media
Several other attendees echoed similar complaints. Many criticized the event organizers for the delay and lack of communication. One user wrote, “Terrible experience! We waited from 8 to 11.30 and then left since we had a long way to travel back. There was no intimation about the delay. The managerial staff is the worst, with the rudest attitude. People should be warned about how Quake events are scams of the worst kind.”
Another commenter described the management as “pathetic.” Others pointed out that this was not the first time Quake Arena shows had started late. “Every @quakearenahyd show begins 3 hours late. EVERY FU****G SHOW at Quake. I am so glad I skipped this even when I wanted to go so bad,” one attendee wrote. Some fans also mentioned poor security and high prices for water bottles at the venue.
Some social media users called the event a “scam.” They argued that people pay money to hear a live performance, not a pre-recorded track. The criticism also sparked a discussion about punctuality and professionalism in the live entertainment industry.
This Is Not Jasmine Sandlas’s First Lip-Syncing Controversy
Reports suggest that this is not the first time the singer has faced such allegations. It is noted that a similar incident occurred during her performance in Ahmedabad around mid-April. After that show, some fans also claimed she was lip-syncing. One angry fan had complained, “Artists take thousands for tickets just to come and make a hook step and lip sync. Where is the actual singing?”
The Hyderabad incident has raised questions about the quality of her live shows. This comes at a time when her career is riding high on success. She recently sang tracks for the film Dhurandhar and its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
