The Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 cast is bringing back a familiar face in a surprising way. Krysten Ritter, known for her role as Jessica Jones in the MCU, is set to return as a guest star for the second season of the Showtime series on Paramount+. The news comes as a shock to many viewers because her character, Mia, also known as Lady Vengeance, was killed off in the first season.

Several other cast members from Season 1 are returning, including Jack Alcott, James Remar, Desmond Harrington, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Sarif, and Dominic Fumusa. Desmond Harrington has been promoted to a series regular for Season 2 after appearing in the first season.
The show is adding several new actors for Season 2. Brian Cox (Succession) is joining as The New York Ripper, a famous serial killer who no longer kills but still torments his survivors. Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) will play The Five Borough Killer, a murderer who uses phone calls to terrorize the city. Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo) and Nona Parker Johnson (Mayor of Kingstown) are also joining as series regulars. Woodbine will play Captain Mixon, a tough homicide captain, while Johnson will play Fiona Mixon, his daughter and a training officer who becomes Harrison’s new love interest.
