What Happened in Previous Episodes

Episode 1: “Première étrangeté” (First Strangeness)

The series opens with a nameless high school boy who has been terrified of ghosts since childhood. He is six times more vulnerable to spiritual phenomena than the average person. His life changes when he meets Mechako, a fearless girl wearing a sailor uniform who runs the Kaikigumi—an organization that polices ghosts and supernatural creatures.

The Kaikigumi was once led by Mechako’s father, but after his passing, the organization fell apart. Mechako is still learning what humans find truly scary. When she meets the protagonist, she realizes his extreme fear could help her rebuild the Kaikigumi. He gets pulled into her plans against his will. From that point, strange but comical supernatural events start happening around him.

Episode 2: “Deuxième étrangeté” (Second Strangeness)

Episode 2 aired on July 12, 2026. The episode continues the supernatural comedy as the protagonist gets further tangled with the Kaikigumi.

In this episode, Miss Chaos gives a supposedly haunted doll to her trusted associate. The doll is voiced by Mayumi Shintani. The protagonist, already terrified of anything supernatural, finds himself dealing with yet another bizarre situation.

The episode also shows Mechako moving into the protagonist’s closet without asking. Strange supernatural encounters include a ghost wearing a red loincloth that supposedly brings good luck if you touch it. The humor comes from watching the protagonist’s over-the-top reactions to situations that others might find merely odd.

Episode 3: “Troisième étrangeté” (Third Strangeness)

Episode 3 aired on July 19, 2026. The episode is titled “Troisième étrangeté” (Third Strangeness).

In this episode, Miss Chaos has a cold. Her partner soon discovers the source of her terrible illness. The episode continues the show’s blend of horror and comedy, with the protagonist facing yet another strange phenomenon.
