Prime Video has given fans their first look at the final chapter of Ruby Bell and James Beaufort’s love story. The streaming service released a teaser for Maxton Hall Season 3 on September 3, 2026, confirming that the German romantic drama will end with its third season.
The 39-second teaser, shared with the caption “Return To Class — One Last Time,” shows tense moments at Maxton Hall College and ends with a kiss between the lead characters. Ruby’s voiceover sets the emotional tone: “Some stories can change everything… and divide life into a ‘before’ and an ‘after’”.
Maxton Hall Season 3 Release Date and Streaming Details
Maxton Hall Season 3 will premiere on December 9, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video. The final season will be available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The six-episode final season will be released globally on the same date. Prime Video confirmed the December 9 premiere date before releasing the teaser on September 3.
Maxton Hall has become Prime Video’s most successful scripted international Original series in the platform’s history. Season 2 reached the number one spot in 42 key markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, Italy, Spain and Canada.
What Happens in Maxton Hall Season 3
Season 3 picks up right after the dramatic Season 2 finale. Ruby has been suspended from Maxton Hall College, and her dream of studying at Oxford is suddenly at risk. James is blamed for what happened, adding more strain to their already complicated relationship.
But Ruby refuses to give up. She joins forces with James to prove her innocence and clear her name. As they dig deeper into the truth, they uncover secrets that threaten to tear everything apart. Friendships are tested, and revelations they never expected come to light.
The central question of the final season remains: Is love enough to survive everything coming their way?
Based on the Final Book in the Trilogy
Maxton Hall is based on German author Mona Kasten’s popular book trilogy. Season 3 adapts Save Us, the third and final book in the series, published by LYX.
The first season was based on Save Me, followed by Save You in Season 2. The books center on Ruby, a scholarship student at the exclusive Maxton Hall private school, and James, who comes from a wealthy and powerful family. Their different backgrounds bring them together but also create plenty of complications.

Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung return as Ruby Bell and James Beaufort. The rest of the main cast is also returning for the final season.
