Clark Kent is finally back on the schedule. Warner Bros. and Adult Swim have announced the release date for My Adventures With Superman Season 3, and fans of the animated series will not have to wait much longer. After nearly two years of silence following the Season 2 finale, the show is ready to bring new episodes to television and streaming this summer.
The upcoming season takes inspiration from a famous comic book storyline from the 1990s. Showrunner Jake Wyatt confirmed that the writers are looking at the “Reign of the Supermen” arc, which originally followed the aftermath of Superman’s battle with Doomsday. This adaptation will put a fresh spin on the classic material without following the comics exactly.
Season 3 Premieres June 13 on Adult Swim and Next Day on HBO Max
My Adventures With Superman Season 3 will debut on Saturday, June 13 at midnight ET/PT as part of Adult Swim’s Toonami anime and action programming block. For those who prefer streaming, new episodes arrive the next day on HBO Max.
International viewers will also get access. DC Comics’ UK social media channels confirmed that UK audiences can watch Season 3 on HBO Max starting June 14, 2026. For viewers in Canada, Australia, and India, the episodes will be available through the same streaming service, with exact timing matching the US release schedule.
Adult Swim President Michael Ouweleen talked about what fans can expect from the new episodes.
“Season three of My Adventures with Superman goes harder, looks bigger, and packs the emotional punch that makes this series such a standout.”
The show’s lead voice actor, Jack Quaid, who plays Superman and Clark Kent, has already seen some of the upcoming episodes.
“I just wanna thank the fans for their patience. The fans have been really amazing. It’s a really great season. I’ve seen some of it. It’s really funny, but the stakes are also so much higher.”
New Characters Join the Fight Including Cyborg Superman and Jessica Cruz
The official synopsis for My Adventures With Superman Season 3 sets up several personal conflicts for the main characters. Clark has accepted his Kryptonian roots and wants to build a stable life with Lois. But Lois just became the Daily Planet’s top reporter and worries that settling down will hurt her career.
Jimmy Olsen has gone from a freelance photographer to a celebrity journalist after proving aliens are real. Meanwhile, Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, has arrived on Earth and set her sights on Jimmy as a potential partner.
On the villain side, the season will introduce Cyborg Superman, one of Clark’s most dangerous enemies. The character briefly appeared in the Season 2 finale after his fighter jet was shot down by Brainiac. Now he is coming back with a cybernetic body and a grudge against the Man of Steel.
Superboy will also show up in this new season. The character will keep his cocky personality from the comics and enjoy pushing Superman’s buttons whenever possible. John Henry Irons, who fans know as Steel, has been part of the show since Season 1 and will have a bigger role in this new story arc.
Jessica Cruz, a Green Lantern character, will make her first appearance in My Adventures With Superman Season 3. This cameo sets up the spin-off series My Adventures With Green Lantern, which is still being developed. Wyatt explained that while the Superman show took inspiration from Dragon Ball Z, the Green Lantern spin-off pulls from a very different part of the Toonami lineup.
“We are just about to ship our first episode to Korea for animation. It’ll be really clear once we start dropping promos what part of the Toonami block inspired our Green Lantern show. We’re not subtle, people.”

The creative team behind My Adventures With Superman Season 3 made all the writers read the original Reign of the Supermen comics from the 1990s before working on the new episodes. But Wyatt made it clear that this is not a simple copy of the source material.
“It’s less Death [of Superman] and more about, ‘What’s a Superman?’ The fun thing about Reign of the Supermen is that it’s all these impostors who have the same power set but different values.”
The season introduces multiple characters who claim the Superman name for themselves. Each one has their own beliefs about what it means to be a hero. This creates conflict for Clark, who must prove why his way of doing things matters.
The main cast returns with Jack Quaid voicing Clark Kent and Superman, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen, and Kiana Madeira as Kara Zor-El and Supergirl. The animation comes from Warner Bros., the same studio that produced the first two seasons.
My Adventures With Superman Season 3 premieres Saturday, June 13 at midnight ET/PT on Adult Swim’s Toonami block. Streaming on HBO Max starts the next day, June 14.
