The drama follows Da-reum, who joined the fashion company APPELLO hoping to meet her favorite idol, Lee Chan. Instead, she ended up working directly under the company’s CEO, Kang Ha-gi. What started as a simple fan dream has turned into a complicated romantic mess. Episode 5 kicked off a business trip that brought Ha-gi and Da-reum closer than ever. Episode 6 then showed Da-reum finally getting her wish to date her bias, only for things to take an unexpected turn.

Episode 5: A Business Trip Changes Everything

Episode 5 begins with Ha-gi trying to create distance between himself and Da-reum. His friend Min-woo had teased him about Da-reum’s visit to his house, and Ha-gi started overthinking her behavior. He told Da-reum to keep things professional, reminding her that he is the CEO and she is just an employee. Da-reum felt confused by his sudden cold attitude.

The real action starts when APPELLO faces a major crisis. The company’s proposal for the Korea Heritage Service’s K-Wave Project gets leaked to rival company SE Trading. The team needs to come up with a completely new idea fast. Ha-gi notices a traditional knot-tying keyring on Da-reum’s lunchbox. She explains that a master craftsman named Im Cheong-rim makes these beautiful decorative knots. The craftsman lives in seclusion in Da-reum’s hometown and does not easily agree to work with new people.

Ha-gi decides to take a confidential business trip to Da-reum’s neighborhood to meet Master Im in person. He tells Da-reum to keep the trip secret to prevent another leak. When they arrive, Ha-gi finds a huge banner celebrating Da-reum’s job at SE Trading. Her mother still does not know she changed jobs. Ha-gi finds the banner amusing and even takes pictures of it.

Searching for the Knot Master

Ha-gi and Da-reum finally locate Master Im Cheong-rim’s workshop. Ha-gi explains that APPELLO wants to promote traditional knot work with modern designs. But Master Im refuses the offer as soon as she hears Ha-gi has talked to factories about mass production. She tells them to leave.

Da-reum’s mother Mi-ja realizes her daughter is no longer working at SE Trading. Instead of scolding Da-reum, she expresses sadness that her daughter could not share the truth with her. Mi-ja then talks to Ha-gi and praises him. Ha-gi and Da-reum refuse to give up. They follow the artisan’s pupil and try learning how to tie the knots themselves. As they focus on the task, their hands touch and their bodies move closer together.

That night, Ha-gi and Da-reum open up about their personal lives. Ha-gi asks about her bucket list. Da-reum tells him one of her wishes is to hear someone say, “I’m so glad you’re here.” Ha-gi remembers her answer and later tells her those exact words. His thoughtfulness catches Da-reum by surprise.

Then Ha-gi asks the question that changes everything. “Do you see me as a man?” Da-reum does not get a chance to answer because the episode ends with Lee Chan appearing in front of them.

Episode 6: Da-reum Finally Dates Her Bias

Episode 6 picks up right where episode 5 left off. Lee Chan’s arrival interrupts the tense moment between Ha-gi and Da-reum. Chan, who has been looking for the devoted fan who supported him after his group DNX disbanded, now knows that fan is Da-reum.

Chan asks Da-reum to spend time with him. She agrees and they go on a proper date. The two visit a bus stop where Chan once wrote a message of support for DNX. Chan thanks Da-reum for helping him through difficult times after his group fell apart. He tells her he wants to get to know her better.

The newly released stills from the episode showed Da-reum and Chan enjoying a romantic date course. They went from a movie theater to a high-end restaurant. Chan wore a hat and scarf to hide his face. Da-reum appeared excited but also nervous.

But the date does not go smoothly. Problems keep getting in the way. Paparazzi show up. Chan gets called away for sudden work commitments. Da-reum ends up alone at the restaurant, feeling disappointed.

Ha-gi Finds Da-reum Alone

While Da-reum sits alone at the restaurant, Ha-gi happens to be there too. He sees her by herself and assumes her date left her. Ha-gi approaches her and tells her not to chase a man who does not understand how she feels. Da-reum tries to say she is fine, but Ha-gi tells her not to hide her feelings. She finally admits that the day has been a little painful.

The two step outside and enjoy the first snow together. In a moment that changes everything, Da-reum tries to catch a scarf that flies away. As she reaches for it, her lips accidentally brush against Ha-gi’s. Both of them freeze in shock. The accidental kiss ends episode 6 on a dramatic note.

This moment is especially meaningful because Ha-gi has spent the entire episode believing Da-reum likes him. Earlier, he had asked an AI to analyze her smiles, gifts, and actions. The AI concluded she was clearly interested in him. Now the accidental kiss only confirms his belief.

A Love Triangle Gets Complicated

The relationship dynamics in My Bias, My Boss have become increasingly tangled. Da-reum joined APPELLO to meet her bias Lee Chan. She finally gets her wish and goes on dates with him. But she does not feel completely happy during those dates. She feels sad instead.

On the other hand, Da-reum feels confident and cheerful around Ha-gi. Ha-gi has also started developing feelings for her, even though he tries to maintain professional boundaries. The accidental kiss at the end of episode 6 signals that the love triangle is far from resolved.

Lee Chan also continues to show his feelings more openly. He tells Da-reum he wants to know her on a deeper level. But his busy schedule as an idol keeps getting in the way. Ha-gi, despite being her boss, has become the person Da-reum feels most comfortable with.
