Michael B. Jordan plays John Kelly in the 2021 film Without Remorse. Kelly is a former Navy SEAL on a quest for revenge. Krasinski said he talks to Jordan about this idea all the time.
Krasinski joked that Jordan has an availability window in 2045. But the actor seems serious about wanting to bring Jordan’s character into the Jack Ryan universe.
This reveal surprised many fans. Most people had not considered a crossover between Jack Ryan and John Kelly. But Krasinski’s idea makes sense. Both characters come from the Tom Clancy universe. Both are part of the same literary world.
