The journey of the Kitauji High School concert band is coming to a close. Kyoto Animation officially confirmed that Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 2 will hit Japanese theaters on September 11, 2026. This announcement arrived alongside a new trailer and key visual, giving viewers a look at the emotional final performance of Kumiko Oumae and her friends.
The first part of this two-part finale, The Final Movie Part 1, released in Japan on April 24, 2026, playing in 201 theaters nationwide. The sequel will wrap up a story that has been running for over a decade. The new trailer focuses on the relationship between main character Kumiko Oumae and her rival, Mayu Kuroe, showing flashbacks to Mayu’s childhood and the band members looking toward the national competition hall in Nagoya.

The recently dropped trailer gives fans a look at the high emotional stakes for Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 2. The footage shows Kumiko dealing with her duties as club president while preparing for the national tournament. The first key visual for the second part shows Kumiko and Mayu playing their euphoniums. The Cast and Staff Returning
The main voice cast returns to finish their roles in Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 2. Tomoyo Kurosawa voices Kumiko Oumae, Chika Anzai returns as Reina Kousaka, and Haruka Tomatsu plays Mayu Kuroe. Other cast members include Ayaka Asai as Hazuki Katou, Moe Toyota as Sapphire Kawashima, and Takahiro Sakurai as the band advisor Noboru Taki.
The production team includes Taichi Ogawa as director, with Tatsuya Ishihara serving as chief director. Both have worked on the series for years. Jukki Hanada handled the series composition and script, adding new scenes not present in the 2024 television broadcast. Shoko Ikeda and Kazumi Ikeda are responsible for the character designs.
