“Take Charge of My Heart is a comic-book-like romance with the unique premise of an artificial heart running out of power and being recharged through physical contact. I was drawn to the pure-romance, comic-like premise and atmosphere, which ultimately convinced me to join the project.”
Na Bo Bae: The Writer Who Cannot Touch Anyone
Chae Soo Bin plays Na Bo Bae, a drama writer with a lovable charm and a refreshing smile. Her character’s life has been shaped by her electric ability. Anyone she touches gets shocked, which has kept her single and isolated. She has a “romance bucket list” she has only ever dreamed of completing. Meeting Ho Rang, who is immune to her powers, gives her a chance to turn that list into reality. Bo Bae also faces a professional deadline. She has three months left on her writer contract and must produce a convincing romance story, even though she has never been able to date anyone because of her electric touch. “I wanted to show Bo Bae’s tendency to avoid causing inconvenience to others because of her electric ability, whether by covering [her hands] or keeping her distance.”

“We had so much fun filming that there was hardly a moment when we weren’t laughing. Chae Soo Bin did such a natural job with the romantic comedy that it was much more comfortable for me to approach the role as well.”
