The feud between The Traitors Season 2 contestants Sahil Salathia and Rida Tharana has taken a serious turn after the show’s conclusion. Rida, who won the season jointly with Krystle D’Souza, accused Sahil of making her uncomfortable at a party by touching and hugging her without consent. Sahil has now responded with a detailed Instagram post, addressing the allegations and expressing his disappointment.
Rida Tharana’s Allegations Against Sahil Salathia
Rida Tharana made the accusation in a comment on an Instagram reel posted by Sahil Salathia. The reel featured Sahil spending time with his parents. Rida wrote, “While you’re loving and adoring him so much, can you also please teach him about alcohol tolerance and how not to make women around him uncomfortable when he’s drunk? At that party, he repeatedly hugged and touched me without my consent, fell all over me, and put himself on me to the point where I felt extremely uncomfortable and found it difficult to even stay at the party”.
The allegation followed a pattern of conflict between the two that began during the show’s run. In a promo for The Traitors, Rida was seen saying she wanted to “slap the s*** out of him” for his behavior. She also made a comment about understanding why parents beat their kids when they grow up.
Sahil Salathia’s Response to the Allegations
Sahil Salathia hit back at Rida’s accusation with a video reel taken from the reunion day. In the video, both of them were seen showing off their outfits on camera. Sahil wrote a lengthy caption expressing his feelings about the situation.
“Riy-dah! I FEEL LIKE A LOSER because i always tried to not damage you back! I always thought of a childish way, be it an emoji or making a wholesome video with my parents for your comments that really hurt them honestly, more than me! I was still giggling like a school kid watching you talk feelin’ you still didn’t really mean harm! But your previous comment has shifted a bit of my heart towards how i see people! May be, you do like harming people or may be not.. may be… you are still a kind person who is getting better every single day and will reach your sunshine version super soon!”
Sahil continued, “Be better! Sending lots of real happiness your way! God bless you and i hope that you get so healed with all that is in you that you legit start healing people around you too just by being there! Comment attached in my stories! Was too toxic for my feed!”.

The tension between Sahil Salathia and Rida Tharana is not new. The two have been feuding since the show began. Rida had called Sahil a “kutta” (dog) during an argument, and she later said she stood by that remark during the reunion episode.
During the reunion, host Karan Johar questioned Rida about calling Sahil a dog. Rida said, “I still stand by it. With my heart, I stand by it. It was the hardest Circle of Shaq.” Sahil responded with a diplomatic answer, saying, “Actually, I mean, dogs are loyal, cute, yeah” and later added, “It is a compliment. She’s a lovely girl. I am very fond of her”.
Sahil also previously reacted to the “kutta” remark in an exclusive interview, saying, “It’s not one of those shows jaha ye kutta-wutta nikalna chahiye, no matter how you are feeling. But if she said it, she must have her own way of talking”. He suggested that such comments are sometimes made for “clout” and stressed that using such language does not make anyone “cool”.

In an exclusive interview with News18, Rida Tharana spoke about her equation with Sahil Salathia. She said, “I don’t take anything that Sahil does seriously. I’ve no equation with him. I don’t have any personal enmity towards him either”.
She further added, “I just don’t give a damn about what he’s doing. I really don’t care if he puts an emoji over my face or completely erases me off or even puts me in a burkha. I don’t care. But he did make it difficult for me in certain places in the show. And as Krystle said, I also think he’s just a silly boy. That’s all”.
Rida also claimed that Sahil takes jibes at her to create a buzz on the internet. She said, “I think that he also gets to create a buzz for himself on the internet that Sahil ne kiya hai aur yeh bola hai, toh abb Rida ka kya hoga, and all of that!”.
Social Media Exchanges Between the Two
The conflict between Sahil Salathia and Rida Tharana has played out extensively on social media. Earlier, Sahil had posted a group picture from a watch party hosted by Krystle D’Souza, where he covered Rida’s face with a monster emoji. This led to speculation among fans that it was a subtle dig at Rida following her “kutta” remark.
Uorfi Javed publicly called out Sahil in the comments, asking, “Did you just put a devil emoji on ridas face?” Sahil replied with a cheeky response, saying, “my phone has some glitch, cutie!”.
During the reunion episode, Rida also brought up this incident, telling Sahil, “Shut up, you put a demon face on my picture”.
