Netflix has given the green light to Tires Season 4, just weeks after the comedy series returned for its third season. The streaming service confirmed the renewal on August 31, 2026, following the show’s strongest performance yet on the Global Top 10 English TV list.
The workplace comedy, created by Shane Gillis, John McKeever, and Steve Gerben, follows the chaotic staff at Valley Forge Auto, a struggling auto repair chain. What started as a small passion project has now become one of Netflix’s reliable comedy hits.
Season 3 Performance Drove the Quick Renewal
Tires Season 3 reached number 5 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English TV list during the week of August 17, 2026. This marked the series’ highest position ever on the chart.
The third season, which dropped on August 13, 2026, earned a 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. That is a significant jump from Season 2’s 91% and Season 1’s 87%.
In its second week, Season 3 pulled in 2.8 million views and 13.8 million hours viewed. This was an increase from Season 2’s debut numbers of 2.4 million views and 11.9 million hours viewed.
Since the show first arrived on Netflix in 2024, all three seasons have collected more than 45 million views combined.
Shane Gillis and the Cast Will Return for Season 4
The main cast is expected to return for the fourth season. Shane Gillis plays Shane, the troublemaking cousin who works at the family auto shop. Steve Gerben plays Will, the nervous and unqualified heir trying to keep his father’s business running.
The show also stars Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias, and Thomas Haden Church.
Season 3 brought in several guest stars, including Andrew Schulz, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Billy Magnussen, Taylor Misiak, Bobby Lee, Dan Soder, Garret Dillahunt, Matt Walsh, and others.

Shane Gillis kept his response short and to the point.

John McKeever, who co-created the series and serves as director, shared his excitement.

From YouTube Pilot to Netflix Hit
Tires had an unusual path to success. Shane Gillis first uploaded a pilot episode to YouTube in 2019. The trio of Gillis, McKeever, and Gerben then financed and produced a six-episode first season on their own in Pennsylvania.
Netflix picked up the show for distribution in 2024 and later agreed to fund future seasons. All three seasons have been filmed in the Pennsylvania region, working with more than 250 local vendors and businesses across six towns, including West Chester, Philadelphia, Phoenixville, Oaks, Frazer, and Glenside.
The show films at Gerben’s dad’s actual tire chain in suburban Pennsylvania, adding to its authentic feel.
Shane Gillis’ Growing Comedy Empire
Shane Gillis has become one of the biggest comedians in the world. In May 2026, he hosted Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart. In July 2026, he sold 76,212 tickets to his stadium show at Lincoln Financial Field, breaking the Guinness World Record for most tickets sold for a solo comedy show. He also broke the record for the largest audience for a comedian, with 73,946 people in attendance.
The show featured surprise appearances from Dave Chappelle, Meek Mill, and Jason Kelce.
Earlier in 2026, Gillis and McKeever signed a creative partnership with Netflix to develop new shows and movies. The deal also includes two new stand-up specials from Gillis.
Their production company, Dad Sick Productions, has already produced Gillis’ Netflix stand-up special Beautiful Dogs, which has nearly 30 million views since its 2023 release.

When Will Tires Season 4 Release?
Netflix has not announced a premiere date for Tires Season 4. Given the show’s previous release pattern, fans can likely expect the new season sometime in late 2027 or early 2028.
Season 1 arrived in May 2024, Season 2 followed in June 2025, and Season 3 dropped in August 2026. If the show keeps a similar pace, Season 4 will probably come around September or October 2027.
For now, all three seasons of Tires are streaming on Netflix.
